The hiking trail Road Rocafort is a simple itinerary that allow us to know the parish of San Julià de Loria. The road passes through the GRP Rocafort giving back to Andorra. Nothing more start the route will reach a canal we have to go through carefully, taking us to a rope there. We continue on the Coll de la Manyiga from where descry the church of San Martí de Nagol, 1048, and descend through a forest of pine, making detours to reach a meadow we have to go to the left and down towards Aixirivall; We cross a small bridge and reach the river Ós Peralba hotel, located in the village of Aixovall. The Museum is an emblematic building from the beginning of the 20th century, which housed the old Reig tobacco factory in Sant Julià de Lòria, that ran from 1909 until 1957, period where the tobacco crop and manufacture were fundamental to people and villages of Andorra. With a multimedia system, the visitor is guided trough the factory where the different work techniques with tobacco, the products manufacture and commercialization are explained. The museum contains tools, devices, machines, furniture and aromas, which were used in the factories in the first half of the 20th century. The Tobacco Museum is an initiative of the Fundació Julià Reig. See more..

The park is located on a way to Naturlandia - in fact it's like a museum of various animals made from different materials, surrounded by the green beauty and fresh mountain air. This is a beautiful little building perched on a hilltop, with an amazing view across the valley. It was very quiet and locked up in the middle of May, but we loved the quiet solitude of the church against the vast landscape. There is plenty of place to stop and park. There also seems to be various walks to and from the church with what must be spectacular views, but I can imagine that one would need to be fairly fit to enjoy these walks as they appear to be very steep. We spent maybe 15 minutes there, walking out to the lookout spot too. This would be a beautiful spot for a quiet, peaceful picnic. See more..

Visited “Casa Auvinya” on an organised coach trip (Thurs 18th Aug), visits have to be pre-arranged. A small farm which, ten years ago, switched from growing tobacco to vines. We had a very pleasant tour and chat about the vineyard with the owner who was charming and courteous. Wonderful views of the Pyrennees and I was surprised that vines would grow at such an altitude 1,200m (4,000ft). Of course the highlight was the wine-tasting; we really enjoyed the Red and bought a couple of bottles. See more..

En esta ocasión, subimos por el camino que sale de detrás del colegio de Aixovall i no desde Bixesarri. Camino espectacular que nos llevará hasta el Santuario de Canòlich. Necesitaremos unas tres horas por lo que hay que ir preparado con agua y previsión del tiempo.
El espectáculo de la naturaleza, con cambios de color a medida que vas subiendo, es maravilloso.

This was the absolute highlight of our holiday in Andorra. For 77EUR for the whole family, we have spent a day in Naturlandia park. We have made 10 drives on the Tobotronc toboggan. 10 times 10 minutes up to 2000 m above the see and 10 minutes down, each drive 5 km. The more you drive the less you break, the last drives were break less, and we were breath less ;-) There are many more attractions waiting for you in Naturlandia. This tourist information office was very helpful. They ordered a taxi, tracked down our hire car (after the Commune decided to hold a fair in the car park after we parked our hire car during a week's hiking), and helped us find a suutablr camp site.
