I learned a lot!

The Museum is an emblematic building from the beginning of the 20th century, which housed the old Reig tobacco factory in Sant Julià de Lòria, that ran from 1909 until 1957, period where the tobacco crop and manufacture were fundamental to people and villages of Andorra. With a multimedia system, the visitor is guided trough the factory where the different work techniques with tobacco, the products manufacture and commercialization are explained. The museum contains tools, devices, machines, furniture and aromas, which were used in the factories in the first half of the 20th century. The Tobacco Museum is an initiative of the Fundació Julià Reig.

Get to know Andorra Tobacco history
A museum showcasing the history of tobacco industry in Andorra.Old machines, equipments and processes are put together. Guided tours are available in different languages at different time slots.Hence its better to plan in advance rather then to just bump in. Have a public parking at around 400-500m away. Staff speaks good English too.

    Fantastic history!
Fantastic! Well worth the €5. A unique experience about the history of tobacco. The museum takes about 45 minutes to walk through and is guided by audio, visuals, props and the staff. One gets to hear the process of how cigarettes and cigars were made but also, its influence in the market and in the lives of those that worked in the factory. Each room is exciting and filled of interesting stories. Plus, the temporary exhibit of Hyperrealism included in the ticket was absolutely amazing! Highly recommended. FYI: you can buy a 10 pack of cigars for under €2.
