An absolutely enjoyable visit

Another a day trip with our Seniors Club and a lovely day apart for the last half hour when it poured with rain with very little options for shelter. We started with a guided tour of what is called 'The smallest city in the world'! though barely the size of a small village, which included various 'tastings' of local products. The first of which, before we left the Tourist Office , was Beer and Goat's cheese. This was followed by five or six more stops during the tour which lasted about two hours. After dinner in a restaurant on the main square we made a tour of the shops to purchase some of the local products we had sampled that morning. A fascinating place and well worth another visit by car if you don't mind narrow winding country roads.

    Small time machine
The village of Durbuy is small but very authentic and 100% charm. It is literarily like stepping out of a time machine that took you a few hundred years back. Except there is nice restaurants and some cute shops. Crowded even on a cold day in January but well wort a few hours of your time. Take the time to eat at one of the plenty of restaurants available. If you take the little train (or walk I guess) up the hill you get a superb birds eye view of the village.

    Charming village to visit
If you like old historical villages, beautiful chateaus and long river walks, this is it. Nestled in the forest area of the Ardennes this village is one to visit. Campers, hill walkers, families would enjoy this place. The cobblestone streets and river path walks are very good. Various hillwalking and hikes are here. Due to Covid, shops are restricting people going on, many restaurants have a takeaway option. There are plenty of street stalls selling food too. My only criticism is the washrooms were locked and unattended. Many people annoyed by this.
