Great experience

This 15th-century Gothic church got its name after the great fire in 1689 blackened its outer walls.

    City landmark
The city landmark just few meters from the main square. The name Black church derives from the color of its blackened walls. No more black now. The church has the largest bell in Romania (6300 kg). The church completed during the 15th century and belongs to the final stages of Gothic architecture. Be advised that the entrance is not for free 15 lei Adults / 10 lei seniors and students.

    Nice place to visit but...
The Church looks very interesting, expecially the medieval frescos that surveved both fire and reformation. However the experience with the shop Staff (you buy tickets and gifts there) far from standard. The shop assistant shouting at our kids for opening a book and commenting to me that it's shop not a kindergarden. And they were silent and not touching anything that could be broken or damaged. Not a shop but a museum this should be called. And The lady Was first Romanian that Was impolite during our two weekend stay. Anyway hope the lady'll get better one day!
