    Leading Torajan Grave Site
Tana Toraja is easily Sulawesi's best cultural tourism destination, with burial caves, traditional houses and buffalo and pig markets all set against lush mountain scenery. Arguably, it competes with the Cordillera region of the Philippines as South East Asia's most appealing highland destination. It is a superb area for hiking and the best thing to do is just set off from Rantepao and walk out here. Londa is not as unmissable an experience as Lemo, but those intrigued by the Torajan's unique funerary culture will not be disappointed. Here you can see ornate burial coffins in a limestone cave shelter and the usual collection of skulls and bones. There are also some fine traditional houses hereabouts.
