We took part in Saimaa Ringed Seal Cruise (Norpparisteily) in Puumala. The goal was to see some saimaa ringed seal in nature. The cruiseboat was very cozy and silent. Our quide Arto was exellent. He gave us very good introduction of the area and seals. He was able to answer all of our questions (we had many :D). He also created relaxed athmosphere in the groop of people who didn't know each other. We were lucky and saw 2 seals. Seals didn't mind us (we kept the distance to them). We can recommend this trip to everyone who enjoys discovering the nature!See more..

The historical steam ships s/s Punkaharju and Paul Wahl are gems in the crown of this delightful summer tourist town. Both ships will take one for a 1½ hour cruise, giving an idea of yesteryear transport when these ships worked scheduled long-distance services. The staff are extremely friendly, English is spoken, and coffee and cakes in the saloon make the trip really worthwhile. A perfect hide away villa by a quiet lake. Villa locates alone on an island (reachable with car): main villa 3br, a separate sauna building 1br, a car shelter and a shelter for open fire cooking. Nature activities on lake (SUP-paddling, rowing, fishing, canoeing, swimming from sauna) and in the countryside and surrounding forests (orienteering, biking, cross country skiing... ) . This Kerma canal cruise was very nostalgic to me, since when I was a child, my dad used to sail this route with our boat during our summer holidays. The weather was a bit chilly this day, but luckily we got a nice seating place inside near the window. We did not take the dinner during this trip, but the dishes looked very good. Tour info was intresting and the changing versitile scenery of this route made the time fly by. Also the bus trip rom Savonlinna to Kerma canal was really intresting with sights to see.See more..

We took the one hour cruise on the lake. The boat departed on time. There was announcements at interesting locations in multiple languages. There is a bar servicing beers and drinks on the boat. Overall it was a pleasant way to spend an hour on the lake. They also provided 30% discount for seniors as well. I would recommend it.See more..
