Kerma canal cruise!
This Kerma canal cruise was very nostalgic to me, since when I was a child, my dad used to sail this route with our boat during our summer holidays. The weather was a bit chilly this day, but luckily we got a nice seating place inside near the window. We did not take the dinner during this trip, but the dishes looked very good. Tour info was intresting and the changing versitile scenery of this route made the time fly by. Also the bus trip rom Savonlinna to Kerma canal was really intresting with sights to see.

Beautiful, peaceful cruise with an old steam ship
We took a two-way trip from Savonlinna to Kuopio and back with an old (former) steam ship called s/s Puijo. We slept in a tiny cabin for two persons in a bed appr. 120 cm wide. The staff was very nice and helpful and the food was simple but very tasty and worth the money. The route itself is very beautiful. If you are lucky enough, you may see the Saimaa seal. I highly recommend this trip to anyone who loves nature and peaceful travelling.

Long cruise at classic route
We did the long journey all the way to Kuopio (personal reasons) and it took more than 12 hours to get back to Savonlinna (all in all). Nice if you want to do the whole trip. Otherwise I would recommend the same cruise but only half way to Kerman Kanava and bus back from there. It is much cheaper and you get to see the astounding lake system. The food is average and very price worthy. Nice crew.
