Very good Saimaa Ringed Seal Cruise and exellent quide
We took part in Saimaa Ringed Seal Cruise (Norpparisteily) in Puumala. The goal was to see some saimaa ringed seal in nature. The cruiseboat was very cozy and silent. Our quide Arto was exellent. He gave us very good introduction of the area and seals. He was able to answer all of our questions (we had many :D). He also created relaxed athmosphere in the groop of people who didn't know each other. We were lucky and saw 2 seals. Seals didn't mind us (we kept the distance to them). We can recommend this trip to everyone who enjoys discovering the nature!

Quintessential Saimaa Experience! Don't Miss It!
We stayed in the Lake Saimaa area for two weeks and passed through Puumala and bumped into Arto and learned that he offered a four hour boat fishing tour via his company, Lakeland GTE. Being out of town city folk with no prior fishing experience (but a lifelong desire to learn), the three of us didn't know what to expect, but booked it anyway. This was the highlight of our two weeks in Saimaa! Arto was an incredible guide and great fishing instructor. He taught us all of the basics of spin fishing from beginning to end with precise level of detail. In addition to being friendly and great company, he was very patient in his instruction - all of this led us to catching several pike fish, but also becoming super excited in this newfound hobby! Lastly, he went above and beyond - after the tour, he emailed me with valuable tips and guides on how to buy the right fishing equipment, instructional videos, and licensing for the rest of our stay in Finland. For anyone who would love to fish in Lake Saimaa, I would highly recommend Lakeland GTE!

Nice Evening
We did the seal safari in the middle of August. Unfortunately we didn't see any seals, but Arto nevertheless made it a good experience by entertaining us with stories and informations about seals and Finland, while driving around Lake Saimaa on his ecoboat. Thanks for the nice evening!
