Central of town really lively

This is the centre of bruge, it is lined with bars and restaurants, although you will pay more for the food and beer in these places. I paid between 7-9€for a pint of beer in these bars. But it is worth stopping her for the Atmosphere. There is horses and carts here that will take you on a tour of bruge, but I’m not sure on the price. Also Situated here is the bell tower, that is definitely worth a visit up to the top, I think it was 14€ and it’s quite steep towards the top. Great view at night. At Christmas they have a central market there with maybe 20 Christmas stalls and also a big drinking tent . This all closes at 23:00

The heart of Bruges
Vibrant and buzzing with life throughout the day, Markt Square is truly the heart of Bruges. It has been used as a marketplace since the 10th century. Dominated by the iconic 83m Belfry, this huge square is also home to numerous restaurants, speciality shops and other businesses. Despite the touristy nature of the place, you can still have a perfect day out….. sipping a local beer at one of the open-air cafe while enjoying the sights around the square and the relaxing clip-clop sound of the horse-drawn carriages.

A very pleasant place to spend some time
When we arrived in Bruges, my friend and I were oriented so that we could first reach Markt, the central square of the city. The place is especially beautiful and pleasant. Markt is surrounded by buildings with classical, local architecture. Although it seems that there is road traffic in the square, it is probably not very important and that is why the place is very friendly to pedestrians and cyclists.There are many horse carriages for those who want to take a tour through the city. We noticed that there are especially women driving these horse carriages, not men which, at least for us, is a little bit unusual. All around the square, there are many cafes, restaurants, taverns with terraces in the square, almost full of them all, a sign that it is a very pleasant place to spend some time.
