  5. 3.0 Wolf Creek Golf Course (45 reviews)
    - Carts not allowed on most fairways
    Golf Courses
    Wolf Creek Golf Course image
I would repeat all the other comments about greens, fairways and decrepit cart paths. To that I would add the fact that you can’t drive your cart on most of the fairways on the old course. I have some minor mobility issues, so I need to use a cart. Constantly having to drive alongside the fairways without being able to see the location of your ball pretty much negates the point of using a cart. If you need to use a cart to play a round of golf, do not even consider coming to this course. See more..

Front nine very challenging while the back nine is fairly safe. Greens were fast and the roughs weren’t so bad that you’d lose a ball. Clubhouse is new and food was good. Stony Plain Golf Course image
I have played this course many times. And because of the excellent greens and perfect conditions and maintenance of them, I became a member, and I love the lay out. Tough from the blues on the par threes. As well as a couple of the par fours the par fives are reachable on two but precision is a must when going for the pin as the. Fast greens will eat you up. Prices are very reasonable and practice facilities are great. A must try. Course! See more..

Legends Golf and Country Club image
A 27 hole layout with some challenging holes. I have been golfing here since it opened close to 30 years ago. Traditions and Old Hickory are the original 18 and have a very basic plan. These 18 are wide open and forgivable but fun and challenging. The new 9 - Champions - opened about a decade ago and is much more interesting. The course was landscaped and groomed in a way that makes every hole a challenge and beautiful to look at. If you book, encourage the pro shop to put you on Champions for one of your nines! - Customer Service
Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 8:30 PM Golf Courses
As I begin to write this review I see this type of review on the lack of customer service has been written before. When I arrived with my two grandsons aged 14 and 10 you certainly get the feeling the owner could not care less. We got three large buckets and then returned to pay for mini golf. I said one adult and two kids and he rudely pointed to the prices on the wall. It is a nice facility and I have been there before but each time this same gentlemen could really work on how to create a better customer experience for his customers. We as customers have choices and like to feel that our business is appreciated. Even my 14 year old grandson thought he did not appreciate our business. See more..

We were a 3 ball, with two if the three new to the game, one very new. We played the back 9 which was a pretty testy 9 with water two of the first three holes and 2 or 3 tight tee shots mid way through the nine. The course was in excellent condition with very good fast greens that would be a credit to many other courses. A very scenic course - the only issue is the number of insects and mosquitoes about. Canyon Creek Golf and Camping image
Canyon Creek Golf & Camping is one of the prettiest, serene campgrounds in Alberta. Large, well treed, clean sites, superbly maintained and a stunning golf course to round out the place. The only downside to the whole experience was the customer service. When your bread and butter is earned by a great customer experience, you do your utmost to present your best side. When we arrived, it was not "welcome to Canyon Creek, or How are you sir, rather we were greeted with a stern " Do you have a reservation" and "have you signed your covid sheet, because you can't come without it" I understand people may have bad days but you don't get to take it out on me and expect me to feel welcome. I work hard for my money, money that I am willing to spend in my province at your establishment so you better work a little harder at being friendly towards your patrons! See more..

    Golf Courses
    Silver Creek Golf Course image
We recently stayed at the Silver Creek Golf & RV resort for a weekend with friends. We had a great group site, nicely groomed green lawns surrounded by trees. The golf courses were in beautiful shape, well maintained. Shower house was very clean and for a minimum fee of a loonie, hot water for 5 minutes. The only complaint was a very offensive stench in the evening. Each night while we were sitting around the fire, it smelt like someone was emptying their sewer in the trees. It was at times almost intolerable. We would most certainly return with hopes that the cause of the nasty door is rectified. See more..

Played this course for the first time with some friends in mid October. Quite an interesting course for a small town prairie course. The water on several holes entices one to try and carry it when the safer play would be to take a more conservative line, but it was fun to try anyway. Course was in good shape for fall. Pace of play was good up until the back nine when it slowed right down, but it was a beautiful fall day so we weren’t in a hurry. Staff was pleasant.
