The Bridges at Claresholm Golf Course, Alberta, Canada

Surprisingly cool course.

Played this course for the first time with some friends in mid October. Quite an interesting course for a small town prairie course. The water on several holes entices one to try and carry it when the safer play would be to take a more conservative line, but it was fun to try anyway. Course was in good shape for fall. Pace of play was good up until the back nine when it slowed right down, but it was a beautiful fall day so we weren’t in a hurry. Staff was pleasant. Enjoyed the course and will be back to play it next year.

Evening Meal At The Golf Course
I went with friends for a meal and ordered a the crispy chicken burger and fries. The chicken was well cooked tasty and a generous portion. The bun became quite soggy half way through eating it and I am by no means a slow eater, so not sure why it went that way? The fries were ample but I'm not a great fan of packaged store bought. Chop up some potatoes and serve the real thing. Service was OK and bill of fare was acceptable.

    Trip to the golf course
Thought I would try it, drove an hour to get there wished I would have gone to Vulcan where I always go. Greens are great and super fast, tee boxes and fairways are more prairie grass then anything there so-so, seems they let a lot of singles and doubles go out so it really screws things up, front nine alone we let 3 set of singles play through so they can get there speed golf in, so we were on the course longer then we should have been and that didn’t change in the back nine, and members who live on the course just drive across the fairways regardless if you are golfing or not, thank god I only paid 32.00 to golf , that’s all it’s worth, having said that probably won’t be back.
