We were exploring a bit in Cochrane, and had heard that there's an interesting building on the north side of town. Coming from the north, it was a bit of drive through the northern residential area to get there, but it was worth the detour. We didn't go inside, but the building itself is interesting, but the best parts are the views back down to Cochrane from the rear of the building. On this visit, we noticed people with shopping bags walking up the valley from the downtown to their homes on the hill, so Cochrane Ranche Park must connect this area with the centre. The main purpose of the building is to house the town's administration offices, and so the parking lot is nicely done. Not sure how busy it is during the week, but the lot was practically empty on the Saturday we were there.See more..
