I've been here many times and it's always a pleasure to come back. Laguna de Mucubají is located in Sierra Nevada National Park and its one of the main tourist attractions in the area. Since its a part of the northern Andes, the weather is always cold and windy...So, do not forget to take warm clothes with you! You can find some walking trails, do horseback riding and depending on the season, you can fish and catch your own trout :-) To enter, you pay a small fee -per car- and park your car next to the Laguna. I've done a few day trips in the park, and I would love to go camping there too. If you're not used to the altitude, don't push yourself too much. I lived at sea level before coming here and the first hike was definitely challenging, even on relative flat territory. But the park is stunning! There are a couple of different places to enter the park. The entrance near Pico el Aguila has a registration point where you should leave your information if you want to hike into the park. But once you register (just so they know you're in there if anyone thinks you've gone missing), you have free range to wander in the park. A few kilometers into the park from this entrance, you'll find a mountain called Mifafi which is a phenomenal climb! Make sure you bring warm clothes as the temperature can drop near freezing at the peak. See more..

Llegue hoy 18-02-2015 de Bocono edo trujillo y visite alli el Parque Guaramacal y parte de el laguna de los Cedros, es un parque realmente realajante, un cuentro con la naturaleza, tiene una quebrada riquisima, hay baños, hay restaurant que solo abre todos los dias en temporada alta y los fines de semana temporada baja, tambien alquilan unas casitas a la cual puedes llevar comida y hacer alla, pueden acampar alla (cada quien llevando su carpa) se paga una tonteria por eso. recomendado ful!! me encanto!!! In a holiday season, like this one, it is common to observe an important concentration of tourists, some in comfortable cars or couples in high-displacement bikes. Therefore, it still amazes us to see some crazy people arrive by bicycle. It is fun to appreciate how they observe you and even approach you as if you were a being from another planet. Enjoy the landscape until you reach the site can be more rewarding than the site itself, unless it has recently snowed. If you are acclimated to exercise at high elevations, a trip to the picturesque town of Piñango is a fantastic option. Also, if you like hiking, you can do from there spectacular routes through the Sierra de La Culata National Park. Es un lugar que debes visitar para poder creerlo. Si te gusta la naturaleza y estas dispuesto a esforzarte un poco para ver un lugar único. Te lo recomiendo! Tiene una caminata aproximadamente de 30 a 45 min desde el punto final donde estacionas tu vehículo. El tiempo de la caminata puede variar dependiendo de cada persona y su ritmo. Al llegar al lugar podrás notar que es pequeño, pero no deja de ser único. Su atractivo es la temperatura de sus aguas y la vista que puedes disfrutar.. En mi caso solo fui ida por vuelta, según comentarios tiene lugares cercanos para acampar. Mis recomendaciones es llevar comida, agua y ropa cómoda para la caminata pero que de igual manera te ayude a protegerte del frio. Si visitas el estado Mérida, pienso que es un lugar que no puedes dejar de visitar. See more..

Deben visitarlo durante la noche y llamar primero para consultar los horarios y días de atención al público.

Cuando lo visitas te unen con todos los turistas que visitan el lugar y los trabajadores te hacen un recorrido por todas las instalaciones, te muestran los telescopios y te permiten ver a través de ellos. Si la noche no está nublada podrás visualizar las estrellas incluso sin necesidad del telescopio.

Cuando lo visité casualmente no estaba nublado y era noche de casi luna llena; era hermoso poder ver tantas estrellas y el resplandor de la luna; aparte del increíble frío que se siente, por ende lleven muchas chaquetas y abrigos. Yo estaba a 8º!! See more..

Subir al teleférico Mukumbarí no es solo recorrer cada una de las estaciones; en la estación Loma Redonda encontraras distintos senderos, uno de ellos te conducirá a esta laguna, ojo, no puedes bajar solo, debes ir acompañado de una guía, se debe pagar algo de dinero pero es muy muy económico, el camino es muy facil de bajar pero al regresar debes con calma, recuerda que estas a mas de 4000 m.s.n.m. La presa Uribante Caparo es un embalse de agua dulce destinada a la producción de energía eléctrica situada en el municipio Uribante del Estado Táchira, Venezuela. Se encuentra construida sobre el pueblo de Potosí, uno de los Cinco pueblos que fueron intencionalmente inundados en el siglo XX.

Cerca de la represa se encuentran ubicados varios campamentos turísticos, llamados: Siberia, La Trampa y La Trampita. Además en temporada de vacaciones o feriados se pueden observar los vuelos de parapentistas que saltan desde un cerro llamado la tortuga, siendo un evento divertido para las personas que disfrutan de la vista.

La iglesia de Potosí ahora se puede visitar y deleitar en su totalidad en época de verano cuando el cause de sus agua bajan hasta verse en su totalidad lo que era la antigua plaza del aquel pueblo.
