This trip was absolute excellent! In preperation you read a lot in the news that Venezuela is really dangerous. But with Tino and the local guides it's as safe as possible. I had not a single security issue whatsoever and the tour itself was absolutely stunning! I would recommend it to everyone who wants to see Venezuela or south america from a different side. If you travel early then you can get free parking in the Castle car park with a short walk across the pedestrian bridge to the beach. The beach itself was less crowded than others in Fuengirola with easy access into the sea. There is an excellent beach bar- Chiringuito El Limonero that has excellent seafood and friendly staff. The beach beds in front of this beach bar were comfortable and relatively inexpensive. See more..

These are thermal pools with a sandy/muddy bottom. The locals take to plastering this on their bodies and letting it dry out. Not sure what benefits there are to this, but hey if it feels good, do it, no? This is a bit of a strange complex. They have made some artificial pools and also tried to give it a theme park air with some big, fibre-glass sharks, dinasours, etc (but not in proportion to each other). It's a popular destination for nationals to go with picnic, ice-box, music, etc. to stay overnight as well. There are some fish in the nearby lake where you can swim/paddle - carp, I think - that come right up to you looking for food. See more..

Cuando viajas a Rio Caribe una de las atracciones y parada obligada es degustar un rico chocolate en la presentación que desees en la famosa chocolatera de Paria, la fábrica de chocolates. Una vez allí pagas la entrada para realizar el tour guiado por las plantaciones de la fábrica los cuales realizan casi todos los días para que los turistas puedan ver el proceso de producción desde la siembra de la maraca. Al final hay un museo que cuenta algo de la historia del cacao en el país y por supuesto la venta de los bombones en una tiendita muy cuchi. La fábrica también es el hogar de Alida Quintero quién cuando compró la hacienda tenia el sembradío del cacao y ahí comenzó a formarse su experiencia con el chocolate. Cuentan con diferentes tipos de chocolates y bombones que puedes adquirir en empaques artesanales, realizados por artistas locales que muestran paisajes de la zona, con una visión ecológica. Ah, y lo más importante es que los chocolates tienen un proceso especial de fabricación que los hace libre de aditivos químicos. Otra condición que hace famosa a esta chocolatera, es que la hija de la señora Alida es Irene Esser Miss Venezuela 2011 y segunda finalista del Miss Universo, quien es imagen de la Fábrica.
