  2. 5.0 Fruit Center Marketplace (3 reviews)
    - MARKET WITH TOP-QUALITY FOODS
    Speciality & Gift Shops
    Fruit Center Marketplace image
On vacation in Massachusetts visiting with a friend, we went to the Fruit Center Marketplace as we headed back from the Blue Hills Trailside Museum. The Fruit Center Marketplace is both a small shopping plaza and a store selling produce with seafood and meat concessions, plus gourmet foods. We shopped at CVS first and then the Fruit Center. The displays were arranged just so. All the produce at the Fruit Center was top quality. We each got bananas. My friend also got other items. We’d previously been to The Plate which is a restaurant upstairs. There’s also a clothing store named Shop the Cue. We rate the Fruit Center Marketplace at 5.0. 3. 5.0 Milton Public Library (1 review)
    - Excellent Events (Oh Yeah, there's a lot of books too)

    Milton Public Library image
First of all, a note: the image shown for the Milton Public Library is incorrect. I'm writing this in quarantine and can't get a good picture, but the image shown is a private residence. That aside, the library is amazing for more than just books. They host events for all ages, from babies to seniors. See more..
  4. 5.0 Mary M.B. Wakefield Estate and Arboretum (1 review)
    - Lovely place for enjoying trees, blooms and a few animals
    Spent 1-2 hours Gardens
This place is a gem. It is a great place for families as well as couples and groups of friends. The people are so friendly, knowledgeable and interesting that you will want to spend time here learning about horticulture and enjoying the lovely trees. If you're lucky, you might get to hold a Serama rooster named Pumpkin or be greeted by a llama named Betty. There is ample parking. Be sure to come in the spring when the 300 Kousa dogwood trees are blooming or in the fall when the leaves turn beautiful colors or any time in between when it is an oasis of calm. See more..

  8. 4.5 Forbes House Museum (9 reviews)
    - A Treasure Not to be Missed
    Spent 1-2 hours Speciality Museums
    Forbes House Museum image
My husband and I spent a delightful afternoon at the Forbes House Museum yesterday. From the moment we stepped over the threshold, we were in awe of this beautiful house. Every room had so many historical pieces related to the China Trade and the Forbes family. Our docent Becky was extremely knowledgeable and answered all our inquiries. The Opium exhibit was very informative. We visited the first and second floors as well as the basement. The silks on display from China were exquisite as were the art work, furniture and the spiral staircase, Becky went above and beyond when she offered to show us the replica of Abraham Lincoln's birthplace. Thanks to the foresight and generosity of Mary Bowditch Forbes, visitors can see this cabin as well as the room dedicated to her expansive Lincoln collection. This is not a place where you can go from room to room and take everything in at a glance. Plan to spend several fascinating hours at this treasure. See more..
