You have to take the time to step back and absorb it. I had a wonderful discussion with the curator following yesterday’s visit. I go there each time I’m in Lake Worth. This is an Lutheran Church Missouri Synod. My regular place of worship. Friendly and fairly liberal for an L.C.M.S. church. Pastor Wipperman is a great preacher and teacher. Saturday morning John Austin has a soccer session which is open to all. Rebecca's Garden of Hope is another out reach of this congregation. It is a Christian after school tutorial program for local kids. Family Promise of Central Northern Palm Beach County is another program OSL is involved in. It is a haven for homeless families with children. 11 local church offer food , shelter and other services to the families, who we regard as guests for a week at a time and after a week the families move on to another congregation. Family Promise has an 85% success rate for getting these folks back to work and having their own places to live again. OSL also has traditional services at 9:30 on Sundays and a Bible Study at 8:30 am on Sunday and another 1-2 during the week. See more..

My husband and I visit this place several times a month. I think the staff knows us by sight because we bring our own clubs, keep score on our iPhone and usually visit at slow times. Also, we are in our sixty’s We love mini golf. We especially love mini golf where you can calculate angles and “read”the greens. These two, well groomed courses allow for both. The courses featured the brick edged style which sometimes plays off predictable paths but these courses generally play well. The blue course is slightly easier than the red but we enjoy both. The only negative is that they will allow groups as large as six and many of these customers don’t know and/or aren’t reminded that everyone would have a better experience if they let the smaller faster groups play through See more..

This is a really nice place for a stroll, especially in the early morning. White ibises let you get pretty close for photos, probably because they're occasionally being fed. There are some nice banyan trees in this park, as well as a bandstand and picnic areas. We found social distancing to be easy on the walking trail here here because the park wasn't crowded. This is an urban park, so the wildlife viewing isn't great here, but Bryant Park is connected (by walking trail) to the Snook Islands Natural Area. In the early morning, you'll see lots of birds and other wildlife at the Snook Islands Natural Area. See more..

I came to Lake Worth from New England regularly as a child. In those days downtown Lake Worth was a colorless, bland small town with a handful of banyan trees. -Not anymore! The banyan trees are still there, but downtown Lake Worth pops with vibrancy and color. There are wall murals throughout the downtown area, small boutiques, cozy bars and quirky restaurants. People working in these establishments are warm and friendly. We were lucky enough to attend the annual Lake Worth Street Painting Festival this year. It was a mellow 2 day street party with astonishing artists and attending visitors, beautifully organized and well attended. Kudos to Lake Worth for valuing the arts. Visited here for first time fishing in Florida. Also took a friend for his first time fishing ever. The cost to fish from pier was only $3.50 per adult individual for the day. The cost to walk the pier is only $1.00 for an adult. The pier is in great shape, showing signs of constant up-keep. There is ample room for fishermen/fisherwomen and spectators alike. There is seating and shade spots all along the pier. Lots of pelicans to see, along with an abundance of marine life to observe. I spotted many sea turtles, a school of tarpon, schools of fish, and sand sharks. Families walking the pier had a great time interacting with the fisherpersons. I did not visit the bar or restaurant on the pier, so I cannot give a review of these. They were packed however. See more..

The course is well maintained including cart paths, tee boxes, fairways and greens. Water can come into play at times, but not overly challenging or tight. Our round cost $100, but it was worth the money. We tried 7 other courses in the Lake Worth area and it is one of the best in the area.
