The Real Thing
There are thousands of wanna-be artists in Florida, but this is where I go to for serious work. It’s the same principle you follow when you go to museums in New York. You have to take the time to step back and absorb it. I had a wonderful discussion with the curator following yesterday’s visit. I go there each time I’m in Lake Worth. How fortunate for the city to attract people who can provide art with this depth.

Exploring a hidden gem: Cultural Council of Palm Beach County
OK -- maybe not so "hidden", but I'd walked past many times without going in. When I did visit last week I was really impressed by the quality and variety of the art works on display, and the lovely little gift shop. Well worth the visit, and I plan to go back often.

Ever changing art
Lake Worth is so lucky to have this wonderful old theater restored and now used for art, music and a nice little gift shop. We go there for jazz and other music once or twice a month. Always look for the changing art on display. Just wonderful local artists of amazing talent. The building itself is lovely with interesting sculptures around the ceiling and doors of the lobby.
