  4. 5.0 Gateway City Arts (3 reviews)
    - Great Bistro and Music Venue
    Spent 2-3 hours Convention Centers
It is very easy to find with lots of street parking. They have a full restaurant on one side, a bistro in the middle and a music venue on the other side. We ate at the bistro before a show. The bistro has limited seating on the ground floor but plenty on their second floor. We had soup/sandwiches and tacos. Everything was very excellent. The sandwiches were very fresh although they only make limited types. The tacos are only available after 5pm were great as well. Our food and service was excellent would certainly eat here again. It is also a great place to hear live music. They do have some limiting seating on both sides of the hall, the rest is standing. All the staff were great. See more..

    - Beautiful Park Great Day Trip!
State Parks • Nature & Wildlife Areas
    Mount Tom State Reservation image
We drove out here mid October from Eastern Mass. The foliage was unbelievable in the park, full peak. We arrived and drove by Bray Lake on the left. There were restrooms that were open. We drove further into the park, plenty of hiking trails. We parked (playground by the hiking area) and went to Goat Peak Observation. Short hike up, pretty easy and the last 10 mins is more uphill but still easy. When you get to the top, go to the right, there is an overlook with great views of the town below. The go to the left up the stairs to the Fire Tower stairs with an even better view of what's around. Drove back to Bray Lake, parked there and walked in the woods, a little confusing on where the trails go but we figure it out for the most part. Nice hike through the woods. Good day here, nice views, good hikes. Next time we will come early and hike Mt. Tom. See more..

I took my 2 year old and 9 month old here while my wife was at a conference at UMass. It was a lovely place. Not super big but tons of stuff to keep kids interested. It was only about 20 minutes away from our hotel in Northampton. We were there for about 2 and a half hours and touched on every part of what they had to offer but my kids had a blast the whole time. - Take the Tour and explore the gardens!
Sunday: 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM Historic Sites
    Wistariahurst Museum image
My sister and I came to see the gardens but as soon as we entered the museum, the restored home of textile giant, William Skinner, we wanted to see more. We were warmly greeted by a docent who offered to take us on a tour. The admission was $7 per person and it was well worth it. Our docent was very knowledgeable and answered our many questions with very interesting facts and colorful examples. We spent over an hour on the tour and she took us to places that were roped off and that we would have missed without her guidance. After the tour, we went to the garden and were pleased to meet Toi Graham, a master gardener who spoke at one of our garden club meetings, working in the garden. (Wistariahurst uses the German spelling for Wisteria.) We discussed the plantings and toured the holding gardens as well as the main gardens. We had a wonderful visit, and learned much about Mr. Skinner, his textile business, his home, his family, and his gardens. We easily spent 3.5 hours there. See more..

The staff are extremely friendly! It was small but informative. It was clean and the showcases were spaced out to allow for social distancing.
