Volleyball Hall of Fame, Massachusetts, United States

3.5 (15 reviews) Tuesday: Spent Ranking #10 in Holyoke Speciality Museums

Small informative spot

The staff are extremely friendly! It was small but informative. It was clean and the showcases were spaced out to allow for social distancing. My volleyball loving partner was a little disappointed because he wanted the birthplace of volleyball to have more hype but overall it was good. Spent 30 minutes and was able to thoroughly look at everything.

    A Fun Surprise!
This exceeded our expectations after having read the reviews. It's clean and air conditioned and spacious. The people working the museum were exceptionally nice and welcoming. My daughter is a volleyball player in high school and she was beside herself looking at the memorabilia and photos. But I was surprised by how fun it was for my husband and I to browse through the years of photos and recall names from our own youth! The tshirts for sale were reasonably priced. It's a quick-stop destination: definitely can be accomplished in an hour. As others had mentioned, the parking is a bit sketchy and you'll need to plan on walking a bit from where you park to the museum. But you can tell that efforts are being taken to revitalize the area and the museum and joining park, etc along the river are good examples of what can be done. We were very glad to have visited the Volleyball HofF1

    work in progress
This is a small hall of fame that is a labor of love. It focuses on history of the sport and inductees to the national volleyball hall of fame. It's not overly large. It might be worth a visit if you're 1) a super big volleyball fan 2) happen to be in the area for another reason.
