My BFF and I visited this garden on our way through Dothan. WEAR BUG SPRAY!! Other than the bugs flying in your ears and eyes, the gardens were spacious and beautifully maintained. As someone with OCD, these were fantastic. Thank you for having everything clearly marked and labeled. What we really enjoyed and had no idea existed was the lock gates. Both of hurried to FaceTime our husband's to show this part of the garden. It's a fantastic idea. See more..

4.0Peanuts Around Town(48 reviews) - Something Fun to do while you are visiting Dothan Points of Interest & Landmarks
Recently while passing through Dothan, we decided to stop in at the " Visit Dothan" Office. However, due to COVID-19, the office was closed. On the front porch were free brochures of things to do while in Dothan, so we had some extra time to kill and we decided to take the list and hunt for a few cool Peanuts! I think that there are about 60 plus painted peanuts around town, and we located 18 in about an hour and a half. If you decide to try and find them all, I would recommend starting early that morning and using the Peanut map locator as a guide. We had a lot of fun. I'm sure if you have kids they will love this. Each peanut offers a cool photo opportunity. I highly recommend stopping by the "Visit Dothan" Office and picking up the Peanut locator map, and go find your peanuts!See more..

We originally came to Dothan for the peanut stuff, but the murals were a delightful surprise. I recently visited Dothan, AL and thought I would get to know the town. I had a few hours so I asked the hotel staff to recommend something to do. The GW Carver Interpretive Museum was a place i was told could be worth a visit. I did. Was impressed by the history of African American unsung heroes who have made significant contribution to this country and are rather obscured names in history books. The visit was free and escorted. The building is an old bus station with reminders and remnants of the days of segregation Every American should be proud of the huge accomplishments made to be one nation.See more..
4.0Dothan Civic Center(9 reviews) - Dothan Opera House is Fabulous Civic Centres
What a fabulous concert. Doug Stone opened for himself, took no breaks and finished in under an hour and a half. He sang audience favourites and they sang along in perfect tune. There were so many pairs of $$$ cowboy boots there I lost track. The Dothan Civic Opera House is a very old building which Dothan has gone to great pains to preserve and update to be accessible. Opera house staff and security could not have been more accommodating!!See more..
