  1. 4.5 Green Cay Nature Center and Wetlands (1.089 reviews)
    - Nice Slice of Nature in Suburbia
Saturday: 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM Nature & Wildlife Areas
Green Cay Nature Center and Wetlands image
Not too large and not too small Green Cay is a nice slice of nature tucked into suburbia. Boynton Beach has lots of busy roads and plazas, but upon driving into the parking lot for Green Cay you soon forget where you are! With an elevated boardwalk allowing for a short or medium length walk to see the wildlife you will find yourself swept away and forgetting the busy roads left behind. On this visit we saw turtles, birds, the elusive gator and more. Yes, it can get crowded so make sure to mask up, otherwise enjoy the nice escape. Note - there are clean indoor restrooms when you enter so use them if needed as there are none on the boardwalk once you start your walk. See more..
  2. 4.5 Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge (446 reviews)
    - Great spot for Sunset
Saturday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM Nature & Wildlife Areas
Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge image
The Refuge protects a remnant of the once vast northern Everglades. At the Visitor Center you can take a virtual airboat ride, listen to night sounds of the Everglades and explore a gator hole - all without getting wet! Behind the Visitor Center you can explore the Cypress Swamp Boardwalk, a 0.4-mile trail that loops through towering cypress trees, pond apple trees, ferns and other flora of the swamp. Then relax in the nearby Butterfly Garden, or head across the road to the Marsh Trail. The 0.8-mile Marsh Trail is one of several walking trails along the grass levees that encircle impoundment areas, where different water levels provide habitat for various types of wading birds and other wildlife. Bring your camera and binoculars! You might see an endangered Wood Stork or Snail Kite, or any of 270 other species of birds. While walking the trails, look for tracks in the soft sand. Common tracks include those of bobcats, otters, alligators, raccoons, armadillos and birds.See the Everglades up close and personal in a canoe or kayak on the 5.5-mile Canoe Trail! Or enjoy the view from the levee as you ride along the 12-mile Bike Trail alongside the main canal. Canoes, kayaks and bicycles are available for rent. Try your luck fishing from the pier for largemouth bass, bluegill and bullhead catfish. Boating and sport fishing are also allowed in the main canal. State regulations for fishing licenses apply. Airboats are not allowed on the Refuge, but Loxahatchee Everglades Tours operates just south of the Refuge. Guided bird and nature walks and canoe trips take place on a regular basis. Ranger-led school tours are available by appointment. See more..

    Oceanfront Park Beach image
A real gem in Boynton Beach! We paid $5 to park our car, there was plenty of parking. We walked past a food concession and bathroom before taking the beach path. We could have rented cushion chairs and umbrellas by the hour. The beach was practically empty, the water was clear, warm and so turquoise. We met up with friends and neighbors, and actually found a few neighbors there as well. A really perfect beautiful day! After 4:00 there is no charge to park, we saw families and more people arriving. See more..

  12. 4.5 NOBO Brewing Company (19 reviews)
    - Great beer. Nice place. Darren....
Saturday: 12:00 PM - 11:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Breweries
    NOBO Brewing Company image
If nothing else, this brewery has some of the most creative beer in the area. They typically do Experimental Fridays...and have done before and since the lock down. You won’t be disappointed by their staples, you’ll enjoy the creative ones, but you will always walk away with a sense of belonging when you leave. After the pandemic, spend some time here. There are consistent locals. First time visitors. And out of staters. Darren will make everyone feel comfortable and uncomfortable at the same time. You’ll see. I highly recommend. Please support these guys during the pandemic and visit often after! One of my favorite breweries. See more..
  13. 4.0 Seacrest Scrub Natural Area (17 reviews)
    - Seacrest scrub

    Seacrest Scrub Natural Area image
We’ve been going here since my now 12 and 13 year olds were born. There is a nice paved path that we have taken our scooters and strollers along. It is very short but you can see many native plants and animals along the path. We have seen tortoise, snakes (including a coral snake), spiders, many different birds, etc. You can choose to go off the paved path for an added adventure. This is fun but be prepared to walk in sand. Overall this is a small scrub in the middle of housing developments. It’s always been a fun walk with the kids no matter what age! See more..

    Animal Edventure Park image
Bravo to this family-owned animal park located on their private home property, for pivoting during the pandemic and creating a new business venture! Reservations are mandatory & done via text. They take up to 22 vehicles, split into 2 groups, each with its own tour guide which you listen to via conference call. They show many different species of animals, including camels, zebra, kangaroo, snake, otter, lemur & more! Many are brought right up to the closed windows of your vehicle. The guide provides tons of fascinating info about each animal. Tours take about 30min, plus time to venture into your own private pumpkin patch, with pumpkins available for purchase. We took a group of 5 adults, 2 teens & 1 toddler in 3 vehicles. EVERYONE enjoyed it and thought it was well worth the trip from the Plantation/Sunrise area! See more..

We did get some really nice items which I can not find in other markets in the area. The staff seemed very nice and knew where everything was located. They have a coupon on the check out slip for a discount on your next purchase over a certain amount. We will take advantage of this coupon. The meat dept. looked very good and the store is well laid out. very clean store and the parking is right in front. A welcome new market in the area. See more..
