Lots of fun and reasonably priced
We stopped by the Schoolhouse Children's Museum on a Saturday in mid-Dec and were pleasantly surprised to have the place mostly to ourselves; looked like the crowds were there earlier to make gingerbread houses. Our almost 3 year old daughter had a blast playing at the museum and even though it has two floors we barely made it to the second floor because she was having so much fun on the first! This museum is refreshingly low tech and most of the toys/exhibits are wooden and of high lasting quality. We really liked how the history of the town and the area was interwoven into all the exhibits. This made it very educational - on the local and national level - as well as fun. If we lived in the area we'd definitely visit here often!

    Adorably fun!
The historic atmosphere of this schoolhouse museum enhances the overall experience for adults and kids alike. My wife and I took our 14 month old, and he was able to engage in a variety of activities throughout the museum and had a blasr doing so! The massive playground outside near the entrance is under construction and looks as though it will be demolished, then rebuilt. Well, it should be at least.
