This was my first time rafting, and I am a bit afraid of water, but the whole team did a great job in explaining how to deal with every situation, so that even capsizing turned into good fun. Awesome experience at the Source of the Nile! We had a group of 4 adults kayaking at the source with Abraham. He was very knowledgeable about kayaking and the area. One adult had never been in a kayak before and had a fear of water and Abraham got him through it and he had a great water experience!! We started off in Lake Victoria and paddled around for a bit. Abraham opened a cooler with Nile beer and sodas which we enjoyed before continuing on to the Nile. We definitely felt the change when the lake met the Nile, the water was swirling and gurgling. I can't speak highly enough about White Nile Rafting. The young men that work here go above and beyond to make this a great experience. We had a variety of ages and levels of comfort in our group and they made sure that each one of us received the level of adventure and comfort we needed. These guys all had smiles on their faces and made sure we kept smiles on ours. We got a little bit of Uganda history as we paddles along the way. They had an excellent photographer who took pictures and videos for us to remember the experience. As well, they provided breakfast, a snack on the river and a fabulous bbq lunch afterwards. I would definitely recommend and use White Nile Rafting again. They surpassed my expectations. Had an amazing time in Sipi falls! We went for a hike to the falls accompanied by our local guide Sam, who was very knowledgeable and made sure we got to see all the main view points and explained all about the history of the falls and the local community life around the falls. We then went on to do the coffee tour and tasting at a local farm. We were taught everything from planting the bean to then making our own cup of coffee and enjoying it with Sam and Joel (the coffee farmer). Roasting the beans by hand, hand grinding the finished product and then tasting your fresh ground coffee is a great experience! I would highly recommend doing the coffee tour while in Sipi falls, it is a must do activity for any coffee lover. You will learn a lot about coffee production, you will taste some of the best coffee out there and meet some of the nicest people who are passionate and dedicated to producing high quality, phenomenal tasting coffee! Just 1 hour after we made the phone call, guide Louis showed up at our lodge with mountainbikes for each of us and a great tour through the local villages and sugar cane fields in mind. The bikes were good, Louis made sure everyone got the right size and was cycling comfortable. A wonderful tour of about 3 hours follower during which he showed us and told us about the local way of living, with many personal anecdotes (which all were very interesting and spot on). He was a great guy who naturally blended in our group and made sure that all of our questions got answered and that we got to see all the sites we were interested in. We hope that he achieves his future goal of starting a school, to give back to the community. We thought that we would just have an ‘ordinary’ local tour, but ended up having a unique and impressive cycling tour during which we learned and saw a lot of the local Ugandan life. Rafting on the Nile is super awesome. This was made even better by NRE!! The day commences with breakfast (basic fruit and eggs + T/coffee) at their Base Camp in Jinja town followed by a humorous briefing by the chief guide Juma (a class apart). After taking your life vests and helmets, rafters are taken to the start point in a bus (45 minutes drive). Without giving away the suspense, suffice it to say that this will be your best and most adrenaline pumping experience for a long time!! The guides are super efficient (special mention of Alex). The rescue team of kayakers and the rescue raft ensure that everyone's safe. The rapids are super and most have 2-3 routes depending on your appetite for adventure. Everything was excellent - the equipment, the information given and the navigating by our brilliant boatmen Tawa (I have probably spelt that wrong) and Sadat, helped by the guys in four rescue kayaks, there to pick us up if we fell in. I felt completely safe while enjoying a thrilling ride down exciting Grade 4 rapids and serene flat water sections of a beautiful river flanked by stunning scenery. Mount Elgon with an altitude of 4320m was my goal. I ended up at 3500m and could not hike any further due to accute mountain sickness. Ramadan my guide, the 2 rangers including the cook and the porter took very good care of me. We did the River Nile Safari. Fun Fun Fun !! In the morning, we got via Whatsapp the information and the booking was done ! So fast, responses were correct, to the point and faster than lightspeed. The quad tour was GREAT ! Very good guide, we are not the experts but the guide was the calmness itself and we did it at - mostly - own pace. The stops were excellent, good quads, and everywhere yelling kids, waving, ... I will end with a very remarkable story that i really appreciate. The payment was done twice because, the first payment was declined. However, back home, I found out that I however paid twice. I took a screenshot of my bankaccount, and the 'decline' credit card receipt and sent it back to AT via Whatsapp. Faster than lightspeed I got a response, very helpfull, and I got my money back. Myself and a team of around 12 others hiked Mount Elgon to raise money for a Ugandan charity called SALVE International. We did it with the Uganda Wildlife Authority, and had a team of porters, who were all absolutely fantastic!!!! The guides (Alex and Karim) were so incredibly knowledgeable and considerate of our abilities and pace we needed to walk at. We did 9km the first day and approximately 20km for the following 4days. On the fourth day we reached the summit and it was then a steep walk down. It's incredible going through the different ecological zones and it's a great challenge whilst not being so intense that you need to feel like an athlete to manage it. Some of our team had a bit of altitude sickness at the top but I can't say this really affected me. Definitely recommend this to everyone. See more..

The Victoria Nile starts at the outlet of Lake Victoria, at Jinja, Uganda, on the northern shore of the lake. I visited the source by a boat. Apart from the entry charges..the boat costed 30 . Worth every penny, its a marvel in itself as to how the world’s largest river originates from this location. Looks like boiling water at the edge of the massive lake victoria. The boat was managed by a lady who was extremely knowledgeable and keeps telling u abt the geographical and historical aspects of the place. The flora and fauna on the shores is amazing. Must visit for all. As you move south along the white nile there are number of options for water sports which incl, water bungee jumping and white water river rafting. Highly recommended when in . We stopped on your way from Moroto to Jinja. Oppio our guide took us through the 3 major painting sites, explaining each time the meaning of the paintings but also talking about the history of the site from Prehistory to the more recent Karamojjong raids). Oppio then took us through the minor sites through the back of the rocks, going through fields of sesame and sorghum. Outstanding views of the region. The visit lasted 2hours. We paid 75 000UGX for two people (30), a guide (20) and the right to picture (25). There is a little climbing to be done. In fact plenty of rocks to climb and children could have great fun there!
