   Being in this old fashioned leather manufacturing factory make me understand changing the industry such fast in very short time. Today's industry can't be compared with the industry 50 years ago. This leather manufacturing factory owner family stops the production in 2017 and keeping the all machines as well as last leather products there for us to see all the steps for getting clean leather from raw. Last two generations are still alive and there to explain each step of process and also their remarkable stories. They don't charge for going inside, visiting and listening the story. So please buy few %100 leather products they are selling to support them also sit down on their balcony and try their traditional borek(pastry) and hosmerim(dessert) which you can't find anywhere in Safranbolu. You can see only 200mt with guide and 600mt in total to see but you can book a visit to see deeper till 2km deep. They have some rules and limitations to accept you to this tour.     This konak is the one has old historical goods and furnitures inside and the new generation usint this konak as a souvenir shop at the entrance and museum for upstairs. The konak is splitted to two because of heritage and the haremlik side is good for understanding daily Ottoman or Yoruk lifestyle. However the other side has a huge garden using as cafe-restaurant now and Filiz Teyze(aunt) is the owner of Selamlik part and still preparing baklavas for their cafe.     We have been to the coffee museum and its cafe several times. The museum has a small collection but is worthwhile especially for coffee lovers. The cafe menu is excellent and you can try different blends and flavours of turkish coffee that you cannot get elsewhere.
