Speciality Museums
A must visit in Turkey. One of many hospitals of Ottoman Empire from 15th century. It is all animated. You can see how life was in those days, how the patients were treated including psychiatry. This is the hospital. On one side you will find the medical university from the 15th century and on the other side you will find the almshouse. All with one ticket, all animated and all next to each other. Additionally, the mosque again from 15th century is also there. As long as you are dressed accordingly, everybody is accepted inside. If there is prayer, you can still go in. Just sit at the back and watch silently. If you want, you can copy them. See more..

Located not too far away from Selimiye Camii and Edirne Archaeological Museum, there it is Edirne Kent Müzesi (or in English "Edirne city museum) with its Ottoman style building. There are pictures, explanation, display galleries explaining the history of Edirne mainly from Ottoman Period. It is very informative however almost all the explanation is only available in Turkish language. Audio guide is available but I didn't use it. At least my Turkish language and knowledge is helpful See more..

- 4.5 Muradiye Camii (22 reviews)
-Another must-see early mosque
Historic Sites • Religious Sites
Do not miss the Muradiye, built in the 1430s and second in age here only to the Ulu Camii. Although quite central, on one side the landscape opens up into a vista of fields. This is a very peaceful setting, and the mosque itself is striking, primarily for its two types of tiling: early blue & white Iznik, and cuerda seca work, probably by Tabriz craftsmen. The mosque was originally a zawiye for flloweers of the Mevlana. The original painted wall decoration needs restoration, but there are some huge calligraphic letters to admire. See more..

- 4.5 Saroz Korfezi (5 reviews)
-Camping at Saroz
Beaches
Went there by car to camp by the sea and within the forrest. Nature was wonderful, but it was very crowded due to the long weekend. It should be great within the week when there is less people. Camping site was good, facility was taken good care. There were enough electric sockets, toilettes and showers. No hot water, though... It is a bit expensive and markets near camping site sell things expensive, too. Bring your kettle with and come when there is no holiday. ☺️ See more..
- 4.0 The Grand Bazaar of Edirne (228 reviews)
-Shop til you drop
Flea & Street Markets
Found some great bargains, however it did require a lot of haggling. Go to a few shops and get an idea of prices for items then haggle. It's easy to get lost as the alleys all look the same. Toilets are by the entrance and will require 1 lira to get in (reminds me of blackpool). Some.Shop keepers are rude and lack customer service they just want your money esp if your a tourist, don't be pressured to buying walk off! See more..
