The Romans are depicted as Romans from the time of Augustus, rather than Eastern Romans from the 1300’s. The subject matter might be seen as quite nationalist, so it is probably more for a Turkish audience.     We heard about Oylat when we were in Istanbul. It was a place we did not want to miss while we visited Bursa. The cave is said to have healing attributes for asthma sufferers. The cool and clean air within was a welcome respit from the sizzling July heat outside. Inside there are amazing rock formations and so many different stone surfaces that are difficult to describe by words. Getting there from the city is easy. First a 15 minute car ride to Inegöl and another 20 minute ride to Oylat. We also enjoyed the little town of Oylat and the open market as well as the stores that sell many natural, locally grown herbs, teas, honey, candied chestnuts, and supplements. People were extremely lovely and hospitable. It was difficult to leave that place without leaving a part of each of our hearts. See more..
