I visited this church with a group of friends. It is very large inside with high 'ceiling', lovely stained glass windows and impressive statues. I would recommend a visit there to anyone. See more..

An enormous statue of Herman Schaepman amidst tall old trees is located on entering Tubbergen from the west. Schaepman (born in Tubbergen) was a Roman Catholic priest who -in the 19th century- gave Catholics in the Netherlands a political face. As member of the Dutch parliament and Pope loyalist he ensured the Roman Catholic flock followed right wings policies. Thus very much appreciated by the ruling elite. The statue is in need of a clean-up. White excrements of birds now 'adorn' head and shoulders. See more..
