   We completed the 10km Noordsee route starting at Buitencentrum Schoorlse duinen. Fantastic and varied walk through woods, heath, dunes and beach. A bit heavy going due to walking on sand most of the time. Wish we'd visited a couple of weeks earlier when the heather was in bloom. See more..

   Our daughter participated in water sport camp in summer 2021. She was still 13 years old at that time. The first week went very well. But the second week was terrible. She shared a room with many other older girls. A few of these girls often went out at night during bedtime jumping through the window to meet the boys from the same camp. A few times the girls even brought the boys into the room and sleep with them in their beds. It was a nightmare experiences for our daughter. We complained to the organiser but they didn't take it seriously. We're very disappointed and will never ever put our daughter in this camp anymore. See more..

    Ride here through the beautiful dunes. At the end of the track you find a large parking place where there is always space, even on the busiest days of the year. As soon as you enter the beach you will see that it is very wide and very easy to find a place. If you walk a few hundred meters further you will have the beach almost to yourself. At the beach entrance there is a restaurant and a lifeguard station. Further to the south you can find a catamaran and a windsurf club. The locals are friendly to strangers and gladly help you get going if you want to have fun on the water. You have to bring your own gear though! See more..

    Fresh from the mill. this molen produces the best flour that is sold only when they open on Saturdays. My husband used to go around on his bike reaching this far. He told me there is a mill that produced pancake flour or even it can be used to make bread. From the nearby Heerhugowaard we went to Schoorl to this Molen on a Saturday to buy the flour.
