  1. 5.0 Klimbos Achterhoek (32 reviews)
    - Out of your comfort zone!
Wednesday: 12:30 PM - 6:30 PM Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks • Climbing Tours
    Klimbos Achterhoek image
There's a challenge here for everyone if you're adventurous and brave enough! We spent an afternoon here with my daughter for her 11th birthday. She and her older brother (13) thoroughly enjoyed all the courses with the highlight being the free fall from the tree top at approx 17m. The various routes take up to 30 mins each to complete so it's wise to come early. And you will be thirsty, so bring water. A pair of good fitting gloves wouldn't go astray either as the wire ropes can be tough on the hands. The safety system and demonstration before hand ensures you that you feel safe and are in good hands. If going with young kids make sure there's no an adult behind them to make sure they have the hasps in the correct position for the zip line. My husband who is rather tall did the highest tree top trail and found it rather challenging, so be prepared to get out of your comfort zone and work hard to keep your balance! See more..
  2. 5.0 De Meene (1 review)
    - Geweldig zwembad!
    Water Parks

  3. 4.5 Museum More - Kasteel Ruurlo (264 reviews)
    - Amazingly beautiful Willink collection
Wednesday: 11:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Art Museums
Museum More - Kasteel Ruurlo image
And stunning Mathilde Willink dresses exhibited in a pristinely restored castle. The dichotomy between the subject and the background of the artist’s work is provocative. The castle’s new woodwork is a joy to the eye. Very much worth the visit. See more..
  4. 4.5 VVV Hartje Achterhoek Ruurlo (11 reviews)
    - tourist information open year round

This tourist information office is open all year round and has information not just on Ruurlo itself, but also on the surrounding area. Very helpful stop! See more..
  5. 4.0 Het MAG Museum (1 review)
    - A very small museum with a nice collection of Pottery, Crystal glasses from Maastricht and Local art.
Wednesday: Spent 1-2 hours Art Galleries • Speciality Museums • Art Museums
    Het MAG Museum image
I had to go twice to the museum to visit it, on my first attempt, on the 1st of July it was closed due to the fact that they were changing the art for a new exhibition... The second time I was more Lucky. The museum is very small and can be overlooked if your not aware that it should be there!. The entry fee is EUR 5,- but they really have a nice collection of pottery and crystal works from Maastricht and art from local artists..... Again it is small, it won't take you hours to see it all, but combined with a visit to museum MORE this is really a nice extra and worth the EUR 5,-. When I was there it was very quiet in the street and you could easily park there, on other days you could park at one of the parkings, there are some not too far from the museum...at less then 5 minutes walk (the town of Ruurlo isn't that big in all cases). Not a must see, but if you go to Ruurlo, why not add this to your tour as a little extra, the cherry on the cake! (well you do have to like, pottery and crystal works). See more..
