   We had never been here before but since we have been we have recommended this place to everyone we know with children, what a super place to spend a day. Bouncy castles, climbing frames, swimming pool, skelter track, indoor sandpit ( very big) so many play areas, horseriding, tractor circuit and a superb indoor play area too.    There are only 20 churches in the Netherlands that have the 'basilica minor' status (and 1500 in the world). The only four 'basilica major' churches are all inside the Vatican. This churh in Raalte is large compared to the small town it is in. It is a beautiful majestic building worth your visit.    The Plaskerk in Raalte stems from the 1100s and has been through renovations on a number of occasions. The interior decoration is rather simple and toned down, although the bow like ceiling elements are nice. The outside of the building is an eclectic mix of stones of different sizes and colors. Not the most beautiful church in town. But worth a visit to explore and experience nevertheless. See more..
