   The loccation of the church is in the centre of Lochem, quite big on the middle of the market square, not far from the shopping streets so you won't miss it. The church was not open because of the pandemic, but twice a year ( due to the circumstances ) carillon music can be heard from the tower. The church is also for social and cultural activities besides the services. There is a beautiful antique lamppost outside the church. See more..

   The Ampsen castle is a private property so it's not open for the public but we can have a walk in the estate. There's so many old oak trees and we saw grassing "Lakenvelder cattle" on the castle yard.    Hertenkamp is a deer park located in the chic area "Villapark Berkeloord", south east part of Lochem. It's an open green area surrounded by fences. Deer, chicken or ducks ( probably are coming from the pond ) are on the park. It's quite big area, loved by the locals with the kids. See more..

   Villapark Berkeloord Lochem is an area with many beautiful villas, located at the south east part of Lochem. This must be the 'expensive area' of Lochem.    De (voormalige) synagoge aan de Westerwal staat er wat bescheiden bij, even achter de rooilijn van de overige bebouwing. Deze sjoel werd gebouwd in 1865 en verving een al oudere synagoge in Lochem uit de 2e helft van de 18e eeuw. Het huidige gebouw, rechthoekig, is van het type zaalkerk. De voorgevel bevat neo-gotische stijlelementen, maar het geheel is toch beter te typeren als als een gebouw in eclectische stijl, dwz een combinatie van diverse bouwstijlen. De omlijsting van de hoofdingang valt op, het doet wat denken aan een islamitische deuromlijsting. Het gebouw is als synagoge in gebruik geweest in de periode 1865-1947. Na WOII was de joodse gemeenschap van Lochem zo klein geworden dat de sjoel werd gesloten. Op de voorgevel een gedenkplaat met de namen van vermoorde joodse personen uit Lochem .. een lange lijst waar je stil van wordt. Het gebouw werd in 1993 gerestaureerd. See more..
