The Goudriaan mill along with the church dominates the skyline of the beautiful polder village of Goudriaan in the Alblasserwaard. The original mill dates from 1779 and was thoroughly renovated in 1851. Compared to other mills in the area, it is really large in size. Visited this mill many times, as it is within cycling distance from Rotterdam (35 km away). However, it is closed most of the time. Only open on National Mill Day and Open Monumentendag. See more..

This picturesque church can be seen from far away, because its 15th century foundation rests on an elevation (terp) in the landscape. Most of the structure dates from the 1750s. The church is still used by the Protestant community in Goudriaan (welcoming open-minded people). Visited in March by bicycle just 70 km up and down from Rotterdam through beautiful Alblasserwaard polder landscape. See more..
