   Graag hadden wij op 4 juni 2021 onze Gouden Bruiloft gevierd samen met familie en vrienden.
   Helaas, zoals velen werden ook wij beperkt als gevolg van de corona maatregelen. Toch wilden wij deze dag niet ongemerkt voorbij laten gaan en kwamen op internet Le Pecheur tegen.
   Peter en Juliette, jullie hebben ons, onze dochter, schoonzoon en kleinkinderen, een fantastische dag bezorgd. De ontvangst met koffie en gebak, de boot, de prachtige natuur, de lunch en ook de afsluiting met champagne en lekkere hapjes, het was geweldig. Wat de dag compleet maakt zijn jullie zelf. Zelden zijn we met zo’n fijne mensen onderweg geweest. Gastvrij, begripvol maar
   ook meedenkend.

   Wij huurden hier een kajuitbootje met 4 volwassenen en 3 kinderen voor €99 incl brandstof. Snelle afhandeling van papierwerk, goede uitleg hoe t bootje bestuurd wordt, goede kaart vd biesbosch en al snel waren we op weg voor een heerlijke nazomerdag in de biesbosch.    This is a fairly large, by Dutch standards, National Park set in an unusual area of freshwater tidal wetlands, close to the city of Dordrecht. We spent an afternoon walking some of the many paths that criss-cross their way around the park and enjoyed seeing a wide variety of wildlife, from rabbits to frogs and of course innumerable types of waterfowl and other birds such as lesser spotted woodpeckers. Common sightings included grey herons, grebes, two types of egret and a few terns hovering and diving into the water. There are plenty of paths ideal for exploring by bike and we saw a fair few people out on the water in kayaks, which would no doubt give a different perspective to the park. We did try to keep our eyes out for signs of beaver activity, but had no luck on that front, so a return trip is on the cards. See more..

   Zeer enthousiaste gids en kapitein. Onderweg diverse bevers gezien ook al kunnen ze vooraf geen garantie's geven dat je bevers kunt zien. Zij weten echter wel waar de kans het grootst is. En als je er dan ook nog meerdere ziet...... En dan nog al het andere moois wat de natuur je onderweg geeft.
   Bij de bevers zijn we ook stil blijven liggen, zodat we ze goed konden observeren en de dieren zo min mogelijk stoorden. De kapitein en gids waren zo enthousiast dat we ook pas een ruim half uur later weer terugkwamen.
   
   Het enige kleine minpuntje is, dat er bij het reserveren aangegeven staat, dat je bij de kassa vooraf moet betalen. Dit was echter bij de gids bij het inschepen. Wel is iemand van het bedrijf mensen bij de kassa gaan halen. Daarnaast bleek dat je alleen per pin kon betalen. Bij de reservering was aangegeven pin of contant... Dit bleek echter voor niemand een probleem te zijn. See more..

    In order to spread their faith Protestants sponsored by Frederik Hendrik of Orange built this church in the Roman Catholic south of what is now the Netherlands in 1641. Architect Jacob van Campen also designed palaces for the Orange family in Amsterdam (Dam) and The Hague (Huis ten Bosch). The church was restored in 1859 en in 1910 after a fire left only the walls standing. During WOII again the church was severely damaged and restored again in 1951 and 1986. Worth while a visit.     It is hard to give a rating for this. Going through the Biesbosch, we saw a lot of competitors with more fancy boats. So you might think you can do better. But who cares? We called in the morning to get a motorboat and no problem. The boat had a decent motor and you got a friendly and clear instruction, including a map and there where trashbags and sunscreen freely available. The engine had decent power which is much appreciated since you must cross a river with rather large ships. We had fun, the dog was allowed to come along, the-rice was reasonable, and there were no issues. I couldn’t have cared less that the boat is a bit dated. They measured the gas consumption afterwards and there was absolutely no reason to distrust that. We all had a great time. See more..
