It was love at the first sight. I always try to stop for a moment when we pass this place. It's located on the opposite of the station Driebergen-Zeist. Beerschoten-Willinkshof is a landscaped park at Hoofdstraat 21. The neoclassical garden temple ( folly ) stands on a slight elevation and offers a view of the overtuin with a winding pond at the botom. The design of the folly was inspired by the "Temple de l'Amour" at Marie Antoinette's Trianon Palace in Versailles. It is cute and so romantic..... See more..

The museum is located at the same place with the "Oude Algemene Begraafplaats Driebergen". At this moment there is an exhibition on burial in Europe at one side of the museum and on the other side there is an exposition of the history of "Speelweek" from 1969-2019. Speelweek is an outdoor kids activity at the end of the summer holiday. It's very interesting to see the stuff people wearing for the burial in the past. There's pictures of the people who were buried in this cemetery. The museum as well as the cemetery is open on saturday at 01.30 pm to 04.30 pm. The volunteers will welcome you very friendly.
