This is a great little park. About one hour from either Lampang or Phrae, but no public transportation that I know of. Clean toilets, plenty of picnic tables, one food stall on site. Visitor center staff didn't speak much English but were friendly. Arrived at 11 AM on Saturday and had the whole place to myself until 2 PM when a local family arrived for a picnic. Peaceful site to just sit and read, or walk up the falls. If you don't mind getting your feet wet, you can climb up to level 7. Great views and good footing all the way up. Entry fee was 200 baht. Be aware that an alternate spelling of Wiang Kosai National Park is needed to locate the park using GPS mapping tools.See more..
5.0Wat Na Khu Ha(3 reviews) - คุ่มค่า Spent More than 3 hours Religious Sites
The place is all about Mor hom, one of Phrae's famous products. Here, you can make your own tie-dye Mor hom product (shirt, trouser, hat, handkerchief, scarf ; whatever you pick) and select a pattern from a picture book. We had a lot of fun dyeing our pieces into indigo blue (with many helps from staff). There are also various Mor hom products (such as readymade tie-dye shirt, soap) for sale. Highly recommend.See more..
5.0Lilit Phra Lo Park(1 review) - Feel "Lilit Phra Lor". Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent < 1 hour Parks
The place is believed to be the hometown of female protagonists of Lanna folktale "Lilit Phra Lor", a courtly romance that ends with a tragic massacre and political reconciliation. Inside this serene park, there are many places according to the literature, such as the monument of Phra Lor, Phra Phuean and Phra Phaeng killed by poison arrows and die leaning against each other, plus the monument of the magic chicken which the old sorcerer used to lure Phra Lor. Moreover, there is an imitation of the cave of the old sorcerer. Inside the cave, there are several bas-reliefs represent some scenes from the literature. We also tasted "ข้าวห่อพระลอ", food that appears in the literature containing grilled pork, vegetable, sticky rice, boiled egg, and chilli paste wrapped in banana leaf (70 bath ; advance reservation). Finally, we bought handmade wood ash sculptures from local at a souvenir stall inside the park. Worth a visit, especially if you like Thai literature.See more..
