Phra That Pha Son Kaew Temple. It is a temple surrounded by mountains. There is a colorful pagoda decorated with different colored tiles and stones. And the important point is the white Buddha image. It is enshrined in a line of 5 Buddha images, distinguished from a distance. Vibrant colors resulting from the use of colored tiles, benjarong bowls, pearls, glass beads, silver and gold rings. things of value as well as colorful ceramics to decorate with beautiful patterns.See more..
4.5Phu Thap Boek(234 reviews) - Family trip Mountains
One of the coldest trips up here , the roads were very steep and dangerous. Weather was excellent to those who like to experience cold weather. The hotel we stayed did not have much of a warm comforter , simple blankets so best to wear a jacket to sleep. See more..
4.0Khao Kho Wind Farm(98 reviews) - First time at Khao Kho Points of Interest & Landmarks
I think everyone has to go. because there are beautiful photo spots And many activities to play If there is enough time, there is a camping spot if you want to stay here. There are items for sale to choose from. Parking is available. Cool weather. And the main point to visit is the windmill fields in the evening before sunset. The view is very beautiful because the sky sees the red color of the sunset. And the cold air is quite cold in the night atmosphere. Around the windmill fields, there are flower fields, cat swings. and activities like taking pictures of cats really got the atmosphereSee more..
4.5Wat Pha Sorn Kaew(87 reviews) - A must visit in the kao Kho area Points of Interest & Landmarks
Visited in mid July during the rainy season. Do go early in the morning to avoid crowds. Wear slippers or any footwear that are easy to take off since you will be required to remove your footwear at the entrance. There’re certain rules to follow for the ladies such as no showing of shoulders and midriff. No shorts and skirts must go over the kneecaps. No showing of cleavage either. This temple is worth the effort with spectacular scenery. Highly recommended. It’s better than most of the temples in other areas of Thailand in my opinion.See more..
Making the sacrificial monument the highlight of your day would lead only to disappointment however this location is the perfect add-on whether you are passing through or are in the vicinity. The road leading in and out is the actual assault path that the Royal Thai Army used in their attack on the hill. the top give you a very nice 360 degrees view of the area. The monument consists of a memorial monument and a small museum where one can view the different types of weaponry used.See more..
You can visit this temple free of charge. Not big, but nice inside and, as i have seen many thai praying, important for the area.See more..
4.0Pratamnakkhaoko(45 reviews) - Not worth the drive to view it Points of Interest & Landmarks
This is a pretty non description attraction, it is a long drive up winding steep roads to get here. Once you arrive the gardens are not that big and not well maintained, the building itself looks deserted and does not look like it has been used for a long time, it looks more like a run down hotel than a Royal residence.See more..

4.5Nam Nao National Park(33 reviews) - Bip Park. Big Views. Big Waterfalls. National Parks • Parks
Nam Nao is a great National Park that straddles the beautiful scenic Highway #12. There are several hiking trails directly off the highway leading to some nice waterfalls. These can be visited during quick day trips without having to enter the main park. And without having too pay the entrance fee. The main park has several large camping areas and a number of cabins for rent. The camping areas seem to be kept clean and have convenient bathroom facilities. We were there during a holiday so the campsites were crowded but very manageable. The restaurant facilities were not able to handle the crowds, so the choices were few and the wait to eat was long. The park has several choices for hiking trails in every difficulty range. There are beautiful views, big pine forests, beautiful stands of bamboo. The tall wet grass along the trails have lots of leeches so I recommend long pants and boots.See more..

4.0Sri Thep Historical Park(22 reviews) - Small, well-organised historical park Historic Walking Areas • National Parks
This is the first historical park we saw with significant reliefs on the temples. The main area has a Hindu, Buddhist and Khmer temple, all older but better preserved than we saw elsewhere. There's also a small museum, and an archaeological site where ancient skeletons, jewellery and tools were found. There are more ruins further away, but we didn't visit them. There's an open tram with knowledgeable driver to the main areas, and all attractions are well documented in Thai and English. Even though it is quite small and quiet, the park is a nice addition to the other historical parks in the area.See more..
Well 4 years on and I revisited to find it much the same with well kept grounds and something of a sleepy hollow well off the mainstream tourist routes. I noted a cat that had strayed into the park (or most likely dumped a particularly common activity of Thais) following a few visitors around. The driver of the electric car indicated that no animals are allowed into the area so we took it onto ourselves to relocate him to a good home in Lopburri. A vet check showed he had a temp. So injection and 4 days later he had the big snip. Now "Khanon" is in a rural setting sorting out his own territory with Pong. Si Thep did provide hopefully good karma for this lost/abandoned animal.See more..
4.5Tat Mok National Park(15 reviews) - Check about availability to accessthe waterfall, esp.rainy season National Parks • Parks
This beautiful waterfall is quite near city but you have to check the travel season for tourists , allowing from 15 october to hike to the waterfall, else, close down for safety reason durong July to september. It's oasis near the city with tall shady green trees ,where sunlight can not expose to ground, so rainy season is time for going up mountain for camping with lights of stars at night.See more..
4.0Huai Pa Daeng Reservoir(15 reviews) - Reservoir itself is rather boring, but the restaurant here is tasty and affordable! Bodies of Water
My girlfriend and I took a day long taxi around to the sights of Phetchabun - this was our lunch stop. The reservoir is like any old other one - great if you like fishing I suppose. The treat here was the fairly new restaurant - food was very good. We had small, live shrimp caught that day from the reservoir which were put in a briny sauce and served that way. Also, had fried tiny shrimp made into a "shrimp ball" and chicken wings. All very affordable!See more..

4.0ThaiLom (Lomsak) Walking Street(12 reviews) - Walking on the Lomsak Walking street Spent 1-2 hours Flea & Street Markets • Farmers Markets
It was a nice experience walking on the street and by lanes, full of hustle bustle with vendors having range on items. It was a Loy Kratong day hence many people were dressed in traditional attire with kratongs in their hands. We have been to several walking streets in Thailand but this was different.See more..
A holy place for praying when you visit Lom Sak, Phetchabun. With 380-400 km. up north of bangkok via route 21, through city of Phetchabun. Look for King Pa-Muang Statue, hiding in a big park on your left hand side, at the junction of route 12 and 21. King Pa-Muang was a very famous king in Sukhothai era. In my picture, you will see many bouquets people brought to worship his statue. King Pa-Muang was a member of the Three Kings Statue in ChiengRai. ** There is no fee for entry but a very small amount should be donated to help keep the park and place as it was.See more..

What an unbelievable drive up the mountain road, to get to the summit, lost count of all of the hairpin bends & extremely sharp turns. See more..

4.0Wat Pa Puthap Buek(2 reviews) - In the building stage Spent 1-2 hours Religious Sites
A rather steep, windy and narrow drive up the mountain will get you to the "cabbage fields" and further on to yet a somewhat narrower and rutted secondary road and finally to the temple in the hills beyond the gaudy what Thais call "resorts". It is an area of hill tribes and the people and food are delightful if somewhat shy and reserved. The temple is ongoing and there appears to be a Christian mission in the village.See more..
