    Mankwe GAMETRACKERS image
We used Mankwe Game Trackers for a one-way transfer from Sun City to Johannesburg international airport in late-February 2023. I’d booked the journey via email around a month before. The communications from Mankwe were always quick, friendly and efficient. I had to send payment for the transfer from the UK to South Africa in ZAR. This was made really easy using Revolut. The night before our transfer, Mankwe got in touch to confirm the pick up arrangements and the driver’s name and telephone number. On the day, the driver was friendly and the journey smooth and efficient. Overall, I was very happy with the service and will definitely use again next time I need to get to/from Sun City! See more..

This picturesque 18 hole, par 72 walking course is surrounded by a 5km scenic running trail. Since its opening in 1979, the course has been acknowledged as South Africa's premier championship test of golf. The home of the Nedbank Golf Challenge since 1981, this immaculately groomed layout has received rave reviews from the world's top golfers, who agree that it is both demanding and fair. This course has been consistently rated as one of the best in South Africa, and compares with the best in the world. The first course in South Africa to be constructed to stringent USGA specifications, this layout is famed for its length (over 7000 metres from the championship tees), its dramatic backdrops of the Pilanesberg Mountains, and its spectacular indigenous vegetation that flanks the fairways. The first facility in South Africa to be built with multiple tees, the course can be enjoyed by golfers of all levels of skill, but even from the forward tees it remains a challenge. 25. 4.5 De Wildt 4x4 (12 reviews)
    - Great family 4x4 outing
    Off-Road & ATV Trails
    De Wildt 4x4 image
Conveniently located just off the main road. Well maintained park, with lots of animals to see. The 4x4 route was however a little confusing here and there, cause there are more roads to choose from when you are driving, than the roads indicated on the map. But nevertheless, we thoroughly enjoyed our 4x4 trip. It is a fairly easy trail, and I believe that even a 4x2 with good ground clearance will be able to do it. There are escape routes if you feel you/your vehicle will not be able to do an obstacle. We ended off our day with a nice braai next to the sparkling clean swimming pool! See more..

    Sun City Resort image
Would have been 5 stars, if the room had 2 double beds. The venue is fantastic with everything you need, great restaurants, pharmacy, activites, etc. Cabanas breakfast was excellent and facilities too, but the room is tiny and my 16 year old and 10 year old had to sleep on a sleeper couch very low off the floor. I suggest the big bed and sleeper couch be replaced with 2 double beds. See more..

  30. 4.0 Hartbeespoort Dam (248 reviews)
    - Worth the drive, not just for the dam but all the nature around there.
    Dams
    Hartbeespoort Dam image
It’s a beatiful drive out there no matter where you are coming from since the nature in that whole area is gorgeous. There is unfortunately quite a bit of garbage by the lake and around the dam but the dam itself is beautiful and quite clean. There were swallows zooming around in the air and there is a freshness due to the water. The dam itself looks a bit like a smaller version of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris, though it is obviously not as old, nor as large! The river is called Crocodile River, there are rapids and several waterfalls, the scenery was very beautiful. I was glad we drove out there! The dam was pretty too, with green lines of algae, that made stripes on the the dam where the water ran down. The dam is quite large and nice to walk over. It’s worth a visit. See more..
