-Wild and Wonderful
Beaches
The Maunabo lighthouse 'Faro Punta Tuna' is an extremely scenic area, a little hard to get to. Coming from the North take the expressway to the end at Yabucoa. It ends at a light, turn right then left at the next light and left again onto 901 which is one of the more scenic roads in PR. go through the tunel, make a right and then your first left, a small road that will take you to the lighthouse. It is not just the lighthouse you want to visit but the beach to the east of it, the local fishermens pier to the west and further west the Maunabo city beach.. all have magnificent views of the lighthouse as well as the views from the lighthouse itself. These beaches are wild and wonderful but very dangerous to swim in due to the undertow and many have drowned ignoring the warnings. See more..
