Mark was an excellent dive instructor, he did my scuba review and a DSD for my wife who hadn't dived before. He was very patient and thorough in his explanations. In terms of the diving, Mark was very flexible in making arrangements and took us to a couple of great dive sites only 15 minutes from Ibo Ilsand, where we saw a huge variety of beautiful coral and tropical fish. I would highly recommend diving with Dive Quirimbas and organising some tailor-made dives. See more..

We recently rented one of the select few houses that have been built on this remote coral Island off the North East Coast of Mozambique. There were 5 in our party and a staff of six - mostly Zimbabwean - looked after us during our seven night stay. It was sheer magic! We spent our days relaxing, fishing, diving, snorkelling, picnicking, sunset cruising on a Dhow etc. There is a very professional fishing/ dive team with sophisticated boats and equipment. Both diving and fishing are reputed to be some of the best in the world. Getting to Vamizi is somewhat of a challenge. We flew from London to Jo'burg, then Jo'burg to Pemba, Mozambique and then by charter flight to the Island. Alternatively, fly to Dar Es Salaam, and then by small charter plane to Pemba ( for Immigration/Customs clearance into Mozambique), and then on to the Island. But once there, this is truly an experience not to be missed. June to October are the mainly dry months. See more..

It is a nice beach, if you don't think about all the plastics. I can't understand that there are so many people, and the mess is so big! Well unfortunately it is Africa and people does not care yet.
