Fabien was the perfect guide for our day in the vineyards. He was extremely knowledgeable and held everyone’s attention with his entertaining explanations about the wines of the region and their production. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and have left with a far better appreciation of the wide variety of wines on offer in the region (as well as an expanded collection of bottles to enjoy!). Bourgogne Evasion by Active Tours image
We had so much fun biking through Burgundy! The bikes were E bikes which made it so easy. Matthieu gave us a list of places to stop and things to see. One caveat, he told us to stop at Phillipe Le Clerc winery which we did. I would recommend stopping to see it and maybe doing a tasting, but do NOT buy from them. It has now been two months and my wine has not shipped. They will not respond to any communication so it appears I am out $500. See more..

Tuesday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Spent More than 3 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks • Architectural Buildings
    La Citadelle de Besancon image
Besançon surprised us with it's beauty, vivacity, and child friendliness. Lots of restaurants, gorgeous views and old city streets, and the citadel overlooks it all. The citadel is easy to reach by bus, car, or tourist train. Inside they've used the old buildings and walls to house a small zoo, bug house, frogs, aquarium, night house with small nocturnal creatures, little farm which delighted us with lots of chicks and ducklings. Two bistros and, we think, another restaurant though we didn't pass it. The bistro we chose had a nuggets and fries child menu option. Affordable and a very fun time. See more..

    - Just awesome with a great one way journey among its many treasures
Tuesday: Spent 1-2 hours Art Museums
Musee des Beaux-Arts de Dijon image
This is my third visit to this famed museum and the best. Last time we came with my wife, was 15years ago and we are just amazed at how great the redesigning of the whole museum is a huge success. Beyond the museum exceptional unique wealth (medieval paintings collections, dukes of Burgundy tombs, painting collection spanning from the early XIVth to contemporary art) that goes back to the great duke art collections, the way every painting, sculpture, tapestry and piece of art has been set is just wonderfull. the 3hours walk we had from the beginning tothe end of the collection was just a fantastic experience due to the remarkable paintings hanging, the clever comments (both in French and English) and the light that flows into the museum. Without any doubt, a great among the best art museums in France and Europe that count so many. A MUST SEE whenever in Dijon.... See more..
