Our organisation is an animal rescue charity. We receive no government help and are totally dependent on donations from local and international supporters. Currently we take care of over 350 homeless dogs and cats with the support of volunteers and staff. In 2017 we celebrated our 20th Anniversary and are proud of what we have achieved in that time. We will continue to care for the vulnerable stray animals in the Girne area. We welcome visits from members of the public who are encouraged to interact with the cats and dogs , walk dogs in our beautiful setting, groom the cats, kittens, puppies and dogs. Visitors are welcome any day from 9 am to 1pm - no need to book. Just turn up with sun hats, sun cream, water and lots of love - our residents will be delighted to see them. See more..

They say diving should be safe and fun and that's certainly what I experienced. Hadn't dived for 2 years after having chemo and needed to ease myself back in the water. Ed and Carol helped me build my confidence back up gradually.with dives to 12m 20m 25m and finally 35m on the Rainbow wreck, which is a great dive. And at every stage we had good craic. Erkan Hodja and his team gave very good training to 50 years old me and my 10-year-old daughter and prepared us for diving. My daughter was a little hesitant as she was diving for the first time. However, Numan Hodja showed him a very good way. Now my daughter also loves diving. My wife took advantage of the facility while waiting for us on the shore and said she enjoyed it very much. As a diving school in Cyprus, we know no one but Erkan Hodja and his team. Experienced divers around us also recommended this facility to us. Professionals were also going diving with this team. Yesterday we rocked up at 10am as a group of 6 and spent the day diving, beginning with a trial dive and then ending with a more open water dive a little further out. Both Pete and Memet were really calm and knowledgeable, having years and years of experience diving all over the world, so everyone in our group (ages from 29 - 62) felt extremely comfortable and easy to face a few fears with their assistance. Overall we would highly recommend to anyone not just for the price, but the service was fantastic. Had a Try Dive as never been scuba diving before. Was given wet suit/ flippers/goggles and then instructions of equipment/ do’s and don’t s while in the water. Was made to feel at ease even though was a little nervous. Was taken out into the bay and once instructors happy we were ok we went out further. A lady instructor was by my side and guided me until i was more confident. All through the dive which was approx 40 mins I was instructed what to do and constantly checked I was ok. Went approx 8 metres down so if any problems the surface could be reached easily. Photos were taken under the water but there was no pressure to buy A fantastic experience and well worth 35 euros. You can go on a further dive after the Try Dive and go further down. Would highly recommend and thank you for an unforgettable experience. See more..

Viewing from the harbour inlet walkway looking back at the curved front of the harbour mid afternoon with the mountain range forming a backdrop with the boats moored up looked magical in a way. Fair to say there is plenty of Turkish restaurants of various ends centre selling from fast food to fish restaurants all extremely priced to boot. Here’s plenty of photo opportunities to be had to keep the memory savour the atmosphere there. This is only accessible from within Kyrenia Castle so not a stand alone. The exhibit rooms are kept fairly dark for obvious reasons to avoid deterioration. THe whole finding and raising of the ship and its contents are explained with the ship in its own room. We had the benefit of visiting whilst some cleaning was being carried out - so carefully done. If you are drawn to the castle please visit - as somebody said below a bit like the Mary Rose but far far older. See more..

Just after the sprawling frontage of Lapta on the right hand side of the road heading out towards morpho there is a vast expanse of a dirt car park. Here we parked the car unsuspecting there was a paved walkway. On viewing we wandered along the well maintained path past a boat yard small inlet marina and carried on’ Several metal bridges intersections between the sea and the coast all with good views from them after a hour we reached a hotel complex whereas the path then ceased. Came across this little church by accident. We were in a taxi from Nicosia and wanted to go to Kyrenia Harbour and he drove past it. After lunch we took a walk up the hill to visit it. I loved the tapestry, I think was made by the parishioners, and being Scottish myself was so happy to find this little church. A must see. See more..

In Sept 22 we had our wedding reception at the Korineum hotel and it was absolutely beautiful! A special thanks to the wedding organiser here and the waiting staff who were superb - especially Sammy and the bar staff. The setting was incredible and we were blessed with a beautiful sunset. The hotel itself is very spacious and the scenery where you eat you meals is absolutely stunning. We found the service overall very good and the Buffett food very nice and varied. The pool is in a nice location and quiet and a good size - we didn’t see photos of the pool and beach area on the site and think it could do with more advertising. We had the Estate Wine Tasting (€8 per person) and tasted 6 fabulous wines (Terra was our favourite-- we purchased a bottle!). We decided to have a bite at their tapas bar which had some lovely vegan and vegetarian options, we loved the cauliflower bao and also the pumpkin tapas. 6 of us visited Soyz Bar after a big meal out, wanting a quick drink before heading back to our villa. We walked in and it was fairly busy, the man behind the bar was extremely friendly, we now know this is Soy the owner. He made us feel very welcome with a big smile and very patient (the girls didn't know what they wanted to drink!!) While the guys played pool, the girls sat outside singing along to the music. We ended up staying all night...!! We flew home on the Saturday but before we left we went back to thank him for a fantastic night. He now has an outside bar and drinking area which is lovely. People of all ages should visit Soyz Bar he truly made our holiday, they also organise boat trips. Fantastic guy, excellent music and a great night out. Although Cafe Paganini is a fairly new establishment in the Bellapais village it is definitely a must visit site for a quick coffee and snack between visiting the abbey and admiring breathtaking views of Kyrenia. I will say that they do have the best coffee and home baked goodies in town... nothing mass produced, all freshly made and you can enjoy the cosy and historic ambiance with a wide variety of music selctions ranging from classical to modern juke box jazz... its a must visit location.
