Quaint place with a wow view

Viewing from the harbour inlet walkway looking back at the curved front of the harbour mid afternoon with the mountain range forming a backdrop with the boats moored up looked magical in a way. Fair to say there is plenty of Turkish restaurants of various ends centre selling from fast food to fish restaurants all extremely priced to boot. Here’s plenty of photo opportunities to be had to keep the memory savour the atmosphere there. Again we spent a few hours here plus wandering round the back streets of the old town Recommend you visit here.

    Beautiful harbour
    The heart of Kyrenia. You can stroll round its harbour packed with myriads of different boats, plus the imposing castle at one end. Various bars & restaurants offer their wares at reasonable prices. Even some of the hotels were once merchants' houses. A beautiful place steeped in history

    Waterfront relaxation
    No visit to North Cyprus is complete for me without at least one stroll along Kyrenia’s waterfront. You are spoiled by the huge choice of bars and restaurants. Yes, you will be approached by waiters trying to entice you into their establishment but it is low key and friendly. Do take time to sit at a waterside table with a glass of wine or beer to watch the world go by. As you might expect there is a range of fresh seafood to choose from as well as other local specialties if you want to eat. Prawns for me please!
