He is knowledgeable, passionate, and a lot of fun. Personally, I was a little nervous about kite boarding, but Tommy put me at ease through his expertise and positive attitude. I’ve done many things in my life but up to that point I have never been on a horse before. The team at Francis family farm made me feel right at home and completely comfortable with the gentle giant name Apache. Being my first time I was a bit nervous but after a while I slowly began to enjoy myself!! The scenery is amazing, the location is perfect and the team work of both couples made it all extremely special. I’ll Highly recommend Francis Family Farm when in the British Virgin Island over on Anegada. When you go send you read Gumption’s review oh almost forgot about the donuts you have to try their donuts as well and if feeling for more asked about their homemade on island made pizza See more..

    Anegada Amazing Rentals image
What a fun experience!! Rented a yellow Mokie that fit 4 adults and 1 toddler. Saw all the beautiful beaches, friendly people, including the pink flamingos. No sides, did have seatbelts , had a stick shift and a trunk! We had more fun and laughs. My husband had to drive barefoot because the pedals were so close together. Kept the canvas roof on for shad protection. Great breeze and air circulation since no doors. Steering was loose, brakes loose but would do it again ! If you have a bad back , I would not recommend this type of transportation to see the island See more..

  22. 4.0 Windlass Bight Beach (1 review)
    - So Many Turtles and Lobster!
    Spent 1-2 hours Beaches
    Windlass Bight Beach image
We stopped by here a few times looking for a natural shark nursery we were told about. Never found the sharks, but saw so many turtles from the shore. When we went in to snorkel we saw lots of lobster, some fish, and a few turtles we'd not scared off! The water is very shallow and grassy - if you don't like "bottoming out" as you snorkel (i.e. feeling grass on your belly or actually dragging on the bottom) this may not be for you. You can probably walk out farther too and avoid the shallow water. Visibility was pretty rough! See more..

  29. 3.5 Faulkner House Museum (2 reviews)
    - A taste of BVI history
Spent < 1 hour Points of Interest & Landmarks
The BVI recently turned the house where Theo. Faulkner, one of the fathers of the BVI, into a museum. We were fortunate enough to see it while on Anegada (they have limited hours of operation; 10-2?) The house is the old clapboard style of architecture, which was interesting to see from the inside, and is furnished with items from Mr. Faulkner's extended family to reflect what it would have looked like during his lifetime. And it was also very enjoyable to have the docent there to answer questions not just about Mr. Faulkner and his role in the formation of the modern BVI, but about Anegada in general. It's free to the public, with only a small donation jar if you feel so moved. See more..
