Gorgeous

Loblolly Bay is as beautiful a beach as there is. It does lack amenities, but the beautiful, warm turquoise waters are so inviting.

    Picture perfect
One of the more 'populated' beaches on the island, Loblolly is still (thankfully) pretty deserted by Caribbean standards.

When we first arrived at Loblolly, it was raining; However, once the sun came out, it lived up to its beautiful reputation. Had a nice meal at the Big Bamboo, followed by an entire day of rest and relaxation.
The Atlantic is more like a lagoon here, as its waves are broken by the surrounding reef. Not only does this provide calm waters in which to snorkel, but also a great opportunity to comb the pristine white beaches for pretty shells and discarded coral.

A perfect place to spend some quality time away from civilisation...stress relief 100% guaranteed :)

Loblolly Bay Anegada BVI and The Big Bamboo
On a recent return visit to The Big Bamoo, one of our party lost their custom prescription dive mask when hit by a wave. We left our name and address just in case it was found. Almost 2 months after our return to the US, a package arrived from the kind people at The Big Bamboo with the mask inside. We have been going there for 20 years and always loved the people, the food and the ambiance. This is just another plus to add to all the good things we have always felt for the wonderful folks at Loblolly Bay.

    A little piece of Heaven
I visited Anegada for 17 days, approximately 4 years ago, and was captivated by the undescribable beauty of the entire Island, especially Loblolly Bay...it was a little piece of Heaven, laying on the hot sand, surrounded by grapes trees, using my finger to pick through the millions of different sea shells lying all over the place, in millions of different colrs and shapes...it was overwhelming...I also found it interesting on the Island of Anegada, of how exciting it was to walk along the beach and for miles and find many interesting things...it was like treasure hunting...incredibly fun!!

    OMG!
I've yet to see any pics or videos that do this beach justice. To say it is one of the most jaw dropping locations is an understatement. Talcum powder sand, large reefs within easy snorkeling reach, and the gin like crystal clear water coupled with the sea grape trees and palms make this a must visit for anyone within reach of Anageda. The wind was perfect for kite flying, which kept me occupied while my wife walked the endless beach to her hearts content. Eventually the lure of the mild waves reaching shore make it an easy choice to hop in and swim or snorkel with none of the crowds that populate the other BVI attractions present. For hours we had the beach to ourselves. As we flew over the bay on our return flight to Tortola our pilot looked at us and said " You'll always remember this day". How right you were, Cary!

Great sandy beach. Fun to swim and snorkel. More facilities than other beaches on Anegada.
Great sandy beach for swimming snorkeling and picnics. Has gift shop, restaurants - restrooms and showers. Among other sights, saw a HUGE barracuda in the surf and also saw those cool silver fish that hang around your feet in the surf . Fun place.

    Very nice
Very nice beach. (Not as nice as Anegada Beach Club) a little rough for snorkelling. Not very busy which is a definite plus. Worth the visit.

    Very nice beach
We had a nice day at the beach. The snorkeling was OK, but the water was loaded with jelly fish. It's a long cab ride to Loblolly from the anchorage. I thought Cow Wreck was just as good a beach and is much closer.

    Quite Disappointed
After reading all the reviews, I was so looking forward to our day on Anegada. I found everything there to be no better than average. You can find prettier beaches and much better snorkeling elsewhere in the BVI and USVI. Perhaps the others writing the reviews have not visited Virgin Gorda or some of the beaches on St. John. I was expecting more varieties and more colorful coral and more fish. This was just an average spot for me. There is a restaurant, ice cream shop and gift shop. The beach is fairly quiet and you can most likely find an empty bench with a palapa for shade. I'm glad I went, but there is no reason to return.
