   If I must choose only one dzong to see in Bhutan, it will be Trongsa Dzong. I love this place because of its beauty and its history. From the balcony of Yangkhil Resort, I saw all the fantastic scenes of Trongsa Dzong, when it was covered by morning fog or in the night light show. I really enjoyed my visit to Trongsa.    If visiting Trongsa this is a must to see. You will be shown a great 20 minute video on Bhutan’s culture , and religious heritage right up to present day. Then the displays / artifacts are amazing to view. The panoramic views from the top of the tower are fabulous. Unfortunately you are not allowed cameras in so just be in the moment and enjoy.    A stop at the Ta Dzong Museum in Trongsa is not only an excellent way to break up a very long drive from Punakha to Bumthang, but a very well done museum with a fine little lunch stop. Exhibits vary a bit, but generally focus on festivals and the deities as well as Bhutanese history. See more..

   The Stupa is so beautifully situated between Trongsa and Bunthang further east, it such a nice and old Stupa, I had to stop had to pray as it remits the feeling of Buadha Nath outside Kathmandu. for me it was such an oppertunity to take photos, as the stream, the landscape as just perfect to do so.
