We stayed here for 2 weeks in a super quiet time of year .. it’s very peaceful .. beautiful bay .. great surf breaks .. stunning sunsets .. friendly locals We found a villa on Airbnb called sunset peak which was beautiful ... most accommodation is pretty standard Mr Wan will give you a lovely massage A chap named Andy sorts your press for you Everyone knows everyone ! Mattmas warung does a ceviche and sashimi for about £3 We ate at the lagoon mostly No ATM here the nearest in Rasabou (which is also the medical centre ) is about 20 mins by ped but didn’t work so an hour trip to Dompu for cash ( No one accepts cards here ) Balumba coffee on the sea front is the best coffee I’ve found on our travels run by a lovely local family ! As a non surfer there’s not a lot to do ... swimming and snorkelling in the bay .. play pool and ping pong ... read a book on your lounger ! See more..
We went to Lakey Peak for two weeks knowing nothing about how to surf. We got two lessons from Firman and what do you know, now we're standing up on the board and even catching small waves! (It's not easy though!) He's fluent on english, very (as all the Indonesians seem to be) friendly and easy going guy, knows how to teach and is very thorough.
