We went on a short family hike starting on the parking "perreres" which also offers an extraordinarily pittoresque and well equipped picnic area. Upon arriving at Lago Blu we enjoyed the superb view of the Matterhorn. The lake itself is very cold due to the glacier water, so swimming in it is not really an Option. The hike to and fro Lago d'Arpy is a perfect, refreshing way to spend half a day in the region during the summer. The shady path is about 75 minutes long in each direction with ascents which aren't too strenuous but provide decent exercise for three out of shape midlife buddies such as ourselves... The wooded scenery is lovely and the hidden lake against the backdrop of the Alps is magnificent. Take a picnic lunch to eat on the shore. Circling the lake is an option as well. The lake is used for fishing, so you unfortunately cannot go swimming. However it is a great spot to stop for a sunbathe, or even to wander around. There are plenty of benches to sit on and admire the crystal clear, still water - you can easily spot fish swimming about - and lots of grass patches to lay out a towel for a quick nap. Would highly recommend crossing over the small bridge to the Gelato stand, as they are very cheap and the scoops are huge!See more..

There are several routes to get from Chamois to Lago di Lod. We took the cable car from Chamois one way up and went down (from the lake) by foot. The surrounding is very welcoming with lots of place to sit and tables spread along the trees around the lake. We enjoyed our time there. Chamois itself also have some very nice routes to hike.See more..

With a paved surface that would support wheelchairs and strollers, this provides great views. The road winds along the river which is pleasant and then ends at the lake. Dirt paths extend beyond if you want to go further. One option goes along the lake and a steep climb up to refuge Elisabetta. Public busses run from Courmayeur to the road which leads up to the trailhead (road that has been blocked to traffic).See more..
The way to the lake takes you to the upper mountains, passing nice villages. And than suddenly, you see the beauty of the dam and the lake. Park the car, take a 2 hour tour to the refugee. I will not ruin your surprize by telling you all. But it's breath taking. The trail ia wide and quite easy. You can even rent a bike at the kiosk if you like. See more..

Tornato, dopo tanti anni, in Val di Rhemes vedo che la strada prosegue molto oltre il villaggio e raggiunge infine un nucleo di antichi edifici (Pellaud, appunto) magistralmente ristrutturati a costituire un bellissimo insieme di case per vacanza. Il laghetto si raggiunge in pochi minuti dal parcheggio e l'unica cosa che dispiace un po' è che......non c'è un Cervino che vi si rifletta dentro. Ci sono però delle curiose testimonianze delle passate vicende del luogo, ben mantenute e descritte con opportune spiegazioni. Consiglio caldamente di andarci con il pic-nic!!See more..

Il posto è natura, la camminata è relativamente semplice se si segue la strada bianca partendo da Estoul (c'è anche la possibilità di trasporto magari chiedendo al personale del rifugio o come vedete sempre nelle foto c'èun servizio taxi fuoristrada) Se si raggiunge il rifugio arp 2446 metri di fatto da li si può seguire il sentiero che è abbastanza ripido ma non difficile che porta ai laghi di Fride e Freid consiglio poi di proseguire per il sentiero a monte del lago di Freid ed arrivare alla vetta nelle foto potete vedere partenza sopra piste da sci di Estoul rifugio i due laghi e sullo sfondo il lago di Litteran ...il percorso fino alla vetta circa 8 km Si vedono molte marmotte e abbiamo avvisato anche una volpe Prossima tappa i restanti laghiSee more..

Bel lago alpino in una conca sotto il ghiacciaio. Il sentiero è molto ben segnalato e sistemato bene con gradini di roccia nei tratti più ripidi, che consentono anche di evitare qualche tratto di salita su sfasciume. Nell'ultimo tratto, a circa 2400 metri di altitudine, il 18 luglio abbiamo attraversato un paio di piccoli nevai, ma senza difficoltà. Noi eravamo con le nostre figlie. Lo ritengo adatto con bambini di almeno 10 anni solo se allenati, abituati a camminare in montagna e accompagnati da adulti con dimestichezza in ambiente di alta montagna. Non ci sono punti di appoggio e al ritorno il tratto di strada quadi pianeggiante dal lago d'Arpy al rifugio Genzianella, così elementare all'andata, può risultare infinito soprattutto ai bambini. Dal lago di Pietra Rossa merita una puntatina alla Becca Pougnenta, ma i bambini meglio lasciarli al lago.See more..

Partiti da Ermitage (Courmayeur), dislivello di circa 1000 m non consigliata per famiglie con bimbi piccoli o per coppie non allenate. Abbiamo fatto l'anello che porta a questo bel laghetto alpino dal Rifugio Dondena: andata e ritorno in circa 3,5 / 4 ore. Sentiero non difficile ma un po' impegnativo: l'arrivo al lago ripaga delle fatiche del tragitto e regala viste e panorami bellissimi. The trial is reported ma intensive. Following the signs with the indications for the Lillaz waterfalls, we cross a small village, then on the right, part of the path n° 12, will take us directly to the Loie Lake. Now go up into the wood with of the steep slope. The ascent resumes between Pinus Larix, Pinus Cembra and Rhododendrons, after passing a stony ground, we continue to climb diagonally, and in a short time we will arrive to the Lake. Bodies of Water Venerdì 24 settembre 2021, non una nuvola una e allora partenza per il Benevolo e poi salita al lago lungo un percorso sempre più di alta montagna con stambecchi che ci sbirciano dall'alto, una cengia esposta con gradini d'acciaio e corda, e la spettacolare pietraia finale, il tutto segnalato benissimo e quindi senza possibilità di errore; a circa quota 2.700 m, il lago a forma di cuore è mozzafiato, dietro ecco le creste di confine con la Francia coi loro ghiacciai e a destra la Granta Parey, che ci ha accompagnato un po' per tutta l'escursione; spuntino e un altro stambecco viene a curiosare; paesaggio lunare, ma non mancano coraggiosi fiorellini colorati; al ritorno, salita al Truc di Tsanteleynaz e giro lungo che permette di ammirare le cascate (sorgenti) e il canyon della Dora di Rhemes; al Benevolo, nel frattempo aperto come bar per una bevanda, avvistiamo per un fugace attimo quella che forse è un aquila che cala sulla preda; le marmotte non mancano di farsi vedere.
