Awesome Trails for People and their Dogs! I love to meet up with our friends and their dogs at Halpatiokee Park to enjoy a long trail walk during the cooler Florida months. It is a blast for us and our dogs. You can do a short trail or a long trail. We usually walk about 90 minutes because we are having so much fun. The park even supplies poop bags and a garbage can at the beginning of the trail area in case you forgot yours. Even though we bring water for the dogs, they do have a hose at the closest pavillion near the trail. It is a big park with many other recreational options that includes clean bathrooms that are located at the entrance and in another area of the park. ENJOY!See more..

Have been there for a child’s birthday. Lots of space for big parties, There is a huge sprinkler system made just for the kids to run around in. It’s clean and well taken care of. You’re in for an enjoyable treat when you go there. Have been there several times and have always found it to be enjoyable.See more..
4.5Shepard Park(39 reviews) - Spectacular Sunsets! Parks
Shepard Park is one of Stuart’s waterfront jewels with frontage on Frazier Creek and the South Fork of the St. Lucie River. The park includes a boat launch, picnic pavilion, playground, restrooms and a boardwalk along the St. Lucie. This is one of my favorite spots to watch the sunset over the sailboats moored in the river.See more..

Really enjoyed our stay at the campground water facing spot #2. Easy biking. Great access to kayak, paddle board, boating. Cool front hit right when we arrived and Us Floridians are just not good with the cold so we enjoyed the close proximity to shops and beach front activities. There is something for everyone to do.See more..
Unique in the area; hiking amidst pines and cacti and palms in areas of sand or dirt surfaces. The recent trip had pine smells so luscious, you felt you were in Northern Wisconsin instead of Florida. Flowering cacti when we were there was beautiful. Wildlife included tortoises and many birds, big and smallSee more..
