A perfect get away, only 3 hours drive from Bucharest. We were lucky enough to enjoy a beautiful late fall weather during the vineyard tour. Also I totally recommend the sampling of wines (two whites, two reds and one rose). The room we’ve stayed in was great but the apartments on top of the wine cellar would have been perfect as they offered beautiful views. The only thing not raising to the expectations was the food but there is always room for improvement. See more..

    - WOW, REALLY WOW!

I love wine and the Stirbey vineyard is one experience I will never forget in my life. The wines produced here by winemaker Oliver Bauer are one of the best I have tasted in my life and in my humble opinion the best wines of Romania. The brands produced are Stirbey and Bauer. You can book a wine tasting and a tour of the vineyard and wine cellars, which Oliver will be very happy to show you. In autumn when it's harvest time the cellars smell like strawberries as the young wine starts to settle into the oak barrels. Top of the list if you like wine! See more..
