WOW, REALLY WOW!
I love wine and the Stirbey vineyard is one experience I will never forget in my life. The wines produced here by winemaker Oliver Bauer are one of the best I have tasted in my life and in my humble opinion the best wines of Romania. The brands produced are Stirbey and Bauer. You can book a wine tasting and a tour of the vineyard and wine cellars, which Oliver will be very happy to show you. In autumn when it's harvest time the cellars smell like strawberries as the young wine starts to settle into the oak barrels. Top of the list if you like wine!

High class vineyard
I had a wine tasting there 10 days ago and I was impressed by their wines (I won't recommend one, it's all about own taste) but also by their sparkling wines, which I didn't know about. Oliver (their oenologist) gave us all the details about vineyard and wines, but also taught us a lesson about the correct opening of sparkling wines. Together with the panorama over the Olt Valley I would say it's a unforgettable experience a visit to Stirbey.
